We have been coming to Wirral for 16 years usually march April, however weather conditions during the first 4 month with unprecedented amounts of rain resulted in all our usual CLs saturated and could not accept vans at all. Our last port of call was to Mill House Cottage CL situated on the A540 hoylake road a few hundred yards off a main M56 Junction. Chris and Hanna Giddins who have only been owners there for two years had the foresight to construct one hard standing pitch to see if it was viable with the view to constructing more in the future, This was the one pitch they had and let me have it, On arrival were met by them both and shown to the site field which was completely saturated except for the one hard standing , once onto the pitch , caravan nearly level no blocks req, Elec point, tap water and waste water run along side the van, chemical toilet 20 mtrs outside the entrance to the field. Once we were set up We moved our car back behind the van to prevent damage to grass land , Chris also provides full WIFi inclusive of the site fees of £18. Entry and exit to the site is straight forward if you approach from the M56 and exit towards the M56 There is traffic noise from the motorway and the A540 is a busy road. overall we were pleased with the site and would recommend it, we will definitely be coming back again
