Wonderful Site

After 10 years of Caravan Club membership, this was our first foray into CL's. What a lovely surprise to find a site like this. Lovely owners who were very helpful. We will definately be back. Superb LocalPlacesOfInterest with fantastic views!

Delightful site

A spacious little CL in a beautiful spot. Great for walking with cloast path just a field away & Rhossili Downs nearby. Rhossili about 15 minutes' walk away. Beach down a very steep hill & involves a little scrambling over rocks at the end so you need to be able-bodied to reach it. Warm welcome, plenty of space. Tight entrance between stone walls then tight turn straight afterwards. Not an easy pull-out onto the road. Generally very quiet although you can hear a little road noise at times. Some shelter from the wind. Sloping field so every pitch needs levelling blocks. Good views only from pitches at top of field. Good bus service along road to Swansea & places in between, so possible to walk further parts of coast path by using bus (Sunday service in summer).

MEWSLADE VIEW

This CL is very good, and gives all that is required - water, electricity, waste disposal point. It is slopping and does need levelling blocks, apart from that you could not ask for much better. Mrs Howe was very helpful and welcoming, giving hints and tips on places to visit, eat and shop when asked. The views are amazing, and the beach is about 700 yards away, though this is downhill, with some precarious rocks to deals with at the bottom. Acess to the clifftop footpath is excellent with walks to Rhossilli and Port Eynon easy to find. The only down side is the entrance, which is quite tight and down a slope with a gate that usually needs to be opened as the turning is made. The CL description states that the turn off the main road is "immediately" after the Middleton signpost, this is very true and immediately means within a few feet !! Coming out of the site, again requires the gate to be opened/closed and then to turn onto the main road - this is not too bad with a car, but is difficult when pulling a caravan - up - the aforementioned slope. We would recommend this site to most.
