What a hidden gem
Mewslade View is a fantastic location with lovely views across the fields to the Sea. The owners are particularly friendly.
A pre-trip use of Google Street view was handy to know where the entrance was but even then we weren't too sure it was the right way in as it was quite narrow. Don't be put off you go down a short track and then bear right to get in to the Site itself.
The walk to Mewslade Bay is lovely though rocky down to the sand itself. At the bottom of the first field from the Site there is a bench where you could just sit and enjoy the view and the peace and quiet.
Rhossili is a short 15 minute walk away along some easily navigable tracks. On our last day we visited The View at Rhossili for lunch which serves excellent Food.
On another day we visited Oxwich Bay with lunch at the Oxwich Bay Hotel with its stunning location overlooking the Beach.
After the roads had re-opened after the Ironman Triathlon on the Sunday we went to the Gower Heritage Museum who serve a rather nice Welsh Lamb Cawl - a meal in itself.
We would certainly come back again - it is very much worth the journey.
