The site that raised the CL standards

We have spent the most fabulous week on this amazing CL that is perfect in every way, other reviewers have written about the spacious pitches, immaculate showers and toilets, the flower beds and trees, Super dog walk and local wild life. What we were also impressed with was the amount of thought that had gone into the layout of the site, the quality of the materials used in the construction of all aspects of it and the high standard of build quality. This site must surely be one of the best CLs in the club, if not the best. From the greeting on our arrival, the welcome pack the information we were given of the local area and the care of the site, the grass was mown twice while we were there and the cuttings collected, leaving a lawn I would be proud of, all were faultless, This site is at a standard I have not seen before, one all CLs no doubt would aspire to. Our visits to Pembrokeshire from now on will be spent at Marylands, it is great value for money and located in a convenient location to visit the local beauty spots. My vote for CL of the year will be used here. Bob & Carol.

Peaceful site, perfect for dogs and for us!

We were so pleased to have chosen this CL to continue our break after attending the National Rally. Beautifully kept site, spotlessly clean, heated shower room. Plenty of space for car, caravan and awning. Even the recycling area was sparkling. The owners were very understanding when we had to reduce our stay from 6 to 5 nights. The enclosed dog walking area suited us perfectly as we have a very adventurous Lurcher (Mad Mabel) and we could let her off lead without worrying. A welcome pack of suggestions where to visit and to eat was provided. The local pub was a little odd as we turned up for dinner one evening at 8.30 (advertised as cooking 6-9 Thurs, Fri & Sat) to be told that the kitchen had closed and we did notice that on the day of the football final they were only doing food from 4-7pm!!! Guess the owner wanted to watch the footie! We tried several places to eat and in our opinion by far the best was the Druidstone Hotel - a beautiful clifftop setting, quirky decor and superb gardens with lots of little areas to sit and eat or drink. The food was top notch and something different and welcome from the usual pub fare. The Swan at Little Haven was excellent for fish and very Lurcher friendly!!! Going a little further afield - the Mor seafood van at Freshwater West was an eco-friendly, solar powered van selling hot crab or lobster rolls with their own seaweed based ketchups and sauces, lots of veggie and vegan options too. All in all it was a very enjoyable stay and if it wasn't an 8 hour drive we'd be back next month. Hope to return later in the year. Thank you.

Wonderful Site

We have recently spent 2 weeks at Marylands and cannot fault it. The pitches are large enough for the car, the caravan and a full awning with room to walk out on the gravel. The bird life is extensive and the local Red Kite circling the CL was a special treat. Ray has filled tubs and planters all over the site and it will surely be fabulous when all the flowers bloom. We know and love this part of Pembrokeshire and this is the very best place we have found to stay when visiting - we will be back I"m sure. Gill and Gordon, Derby

Loved our stay

Just returned home from a 3 night break at this excellent C L Site. Facilities are second to none with water and electric on each pitch. If you do use the toilet and shower block kept very clean and tidy. Loved the area and spent two days exploring as much as we could but will definitely return next year for a longer stay. Many thanks, Martyn and Jane x

Sssssssshhhhhh this place should be a secret so we can turn up whenever we want too!

How wonderful this little CL is.......a warm welcome was received by Jane and Ray on our arrival. The site is spotless, the facilities are brilliant and in a beautiful area of Pembrokeshire. The dog run was very much appreciated by our pooch and even he, (an escape artist) couldn't find a way out. There's a quaint little inn about 100yds from the site, but remember to take a torch....after all we are talking about very rural here. My partner and I wish to say "thank you" for making our Chtistmas break special. If we return to Pembrokeshire this will be our chosen place to stay without a shadow of a doubt! Neil and Jane.

Full marks!

We cannot fault this site - welcoming owners and a pristine site. It was great to have a fully serviced pitch, something we don't often come across in CLs and such a luxury to have. We absolutely endorse everything said before - central for getting around and yet so blissfully quiet even with the pub next door. Good luck Ray and Jane you deserve every success with this venture!

Peace and tranquility

It bugs me to broadcast this little gem but the owner's Ray and Jane deserve great success with this brilliant little site. Designed by caravaners who know what they liked, all large hardstanding pitches with own water and electric,a toilet and shower and totally fenced in and a nice doggy area. The grass is more like a lawn and kept nicely cut,Ray and Jane are the perfect hosts so friendly and helpful as is the information pack you get on arrival, which includes places to eat.Yes the local pub is only 100yrs away which we found to be very friendly and when they are cooking the food is excellent. Will we be back, YES, YES, YES. Good luck Ray and Jane, Mac and Lin.

Central to South & West Wales

We wished to go to west Wales to visit Ffald y Brenin near Fishguard but wanted to be central for sight seeing. Although so new it isn't in the book yet we found it through the Clubs web page. It is exactly as described and run by friendly club members. The site was full when we were there but there was plenty of room and the facilities were excellent There is a supermarket at the end of the lane about 3 miles away and at the end of field there is a pub with friendly locals and a great welcome. The food usually served Thurs to Sunday with some specials nights is excellent. Great stay. Would recommend it to all and God willing, we will surely return.

Perfect location for touring Pembrokeshire

This is an excellent new site in a perfect location for touring the many places of interest in Pembrokeshire. Havorfordwest a short car drive away has good varied shopping facilities. The site is peaceful with open views and good size hardstandings. The hosts are very welcoming offering a very useful visitor pack on arrival. Water and electric accessible to each pitch is a very welcome bonus for a CL. This is a new site (summer 2018) that the owners have worked hard on to provide a excellent site for visitors. We highly recommend a visit, and we will return when coming back to Pembrokeshire. Thank you for such a wonderful stay. Roger and Debbie

First Visitors to Marylands

Finding this little gem was a treat. Mr and Mrs Chilvers have provided a very nice CL with lots of room between the pitches which all have drinking water and 16Amp electric hook-ups. There is a small WC block with a shower but the best thing was the splendid countryside and the quiet and tranquil surroundings. This is an ideal centre for touring the Pembrokeshire environs with the nearby beaches of Newgale and the coastal scenery along the coast. We were visiting the area to search for a new home and the easy access to Haverfordwest and the main roads proved invaluable. There is a charming pub just 100yards from the site entrance. A short drive to numerous supermakets and the Withybush Airfield where you can book sightseeing flights. Overall, a very welcoming site and will certainly be returning. San and Dave Langford
