Third time lucky!

With 2 previous bookings cancelled, due to lockdown & a family bereavement, I was so glad to finally get to stay. Just home after a 4 night stay where even heavy rain and high winds didn’t stop me (and my Beardies) enjoying the site and some local attractions. I won’t repeat what all the other reviewers have said apart from totally agreeing with everyone’s comments. Even in October Jane & Ray refuse to drop their standards, toilet & shower facilities immaculate, as were the pitches and other facilities. Grass and shrubs neat and tidy, dog exercise area immaculate including the provision of poo bags in case you had left them in the van. It’s the attention to detail which makes a site stand out. Jane & Ray are such a lovely couple, making sure your stay is as good as it can be. The site is ideally located to explore what Pembrokeshire has to offer and Jane supplies you with a folder full of activities to suit everyone - impossible to see everything in one visit. There is “exciting” development news about the local pub - Ye Olde Inn 👍 and for anyone who loves stargazing whilst on holiday, this site is perfect as there is practically zero light pollution. Thanks again Jane & Ray for your welcome and friendship during my stay, also a thank you to the couple from Yorkshire that were pitched next to me for their friendship during me stay. Looking forward to seeing you again in 2023 with the hope of better weather on my next visit 😉

What a find

Last year we tried to get in here but it was fully booked and I understand why, what a wonderful C.L. This year we tried again but they were fully booked for the week we wanted but then Jan. phoned to say someone had cancelled and we were able to take it How lucky were we, what a wonderful site, extremely welcoming owners who have really made such a perfect place to visit. We are from Pembrokeshire and come down about twice a year to visit family and this is the place we will book if at all possible every time. Very well situated to discover virtually all of the county., 3 miles from the County town of Haverfordwest and beaches within 5 miles' The site is all enclosed with a fuly enclosed dog walking area which was brilliant for us with two rescue retrievers knowing they couldn't get out. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the area I'm sure they would agree this is one of the best if not the best C.L. we have visited. .

A wonderful site to stay

Stayed here for 5 nights (17th -22nd July) in our campervan with driveaway awning. A great place to stay. Jane & Ray we’re very welcoming on arrival. Lovely big level pitches. Toilets and shower room always very clean ( nice & spacious too) Information pack given to us on arrival with lots of walks etc. The site is nice and quiet. Supermarkets a 5 min drive away. Plenty of lovely tourist attractions close by. One of the highlights of our stay was having Red Kites nesting in the trees in the adjacent trees- got a great photo of one! It’s a very friendly site with only 5 pitches- everyone spoke to each other. We’ll definitely be staying here again.

Lovely Site

Marylands was our first venture into using CL sites and if Marylands is anything to go by it certainly will not be our last. The site is set in an easy to access location not far from the main routes. It is very well laid out with each of the 5 hard standing pitches supplied with their own tap and ehu.The pitches are level and nicely separated with grass and planting. We were greeted by the owner Ray who made us very welcome and showed us to our pitch. He provided us with a folder full of places of interest to visit and various walks that we could take. The site is an ideal base for exploring the Pembrokeshire coast.Haverfordwest is only a short drive away and major supermarkets are easy to reach. The facilities on the site are a shower and 2 toilets and these are kept spotlessly clean. Both Ray and his wife Jane work tirelessly to make a stay at Marylands very pleasant. This is a site we will definitely visit again.

What a Gem of a site.

We have spent another great 2 weeks at Marylands with Ray and Jane. This is a lovely site in central Pembrokeshire. Every pitch is well defined with pretty plantings and feels private almost fully serviced with EHU and Waterits and its own picnic table. There is a large dog walking field with a bench to sit up theretoo.Shower and 2 toilet blocks are immaculate and the composting of food waste and re cycling make it environmentally friendly too.Ray and Jane are great hosts and work tirelessly to ensure the site is always on tip top formThey even provide an individual information pack to you on arrival which you keep for the duration of your stay. The walks places of interest and pubs are all dog friendly and accommodating. Have a good summer guys.

Would happily go back again

Received a very friendly welcome upon arrival and shown to our pitch. The facilities on site were spotlessly clean and well maintained. Each pitch had its own EHU and water tap. If using an awning be sure to take the right pegs as they are all gravel hard standings (not an issue for us). There is a lovely area for the dogs to walk / play / exercise off the lead. The approach to the campsite is very good, with majority of A roads on the approach, with only the last mile being down country lanes, (even these lanes are wide enough for two cars though). Literally less than 10 minutes into Haverfordwest, so very well located for any shopping needs, but far enough away to remain peaceful and quiet. Unfortunately the site suffered from a lot of last minute cancellations, annoying for us as it meant we actually could have gone for longer but the dates were originally booked up, although it did mean that the quiet site was extra peaceful. It was a lovely site, and will definitely be one to go back to again.

One of our favourite sites

Second visit to this site as we were so impressed during our visit last year. Beautifully maintained and friendly owners who are there if you need them. Packs are given to all visitors with useful information and ideas of places to try. Rural location and a windy spot so bring your storm straps but no issues with setting up on the fabulous hard standings. Lovely clean toilet / shower block and gates positioned so that your whole outfit is off road when you arrive. Look out for the cat bush with reflective eyes down the road on a bend by the bridge on the B4330 heading towards Haverfordwest along with the mural on the garage wall - beautiful and so creative! Lots of places to visit, stunning coastal walks and shopping in Haverfordwest centre or the multitude of out of town retail parks. Narberth, a short drive away is a lovely little town with quirky shops. The majority of the Brunel cycle trail is off road with and we have seen many signs for other walks and cycle trails to explore. Friendly people here that helped us out when we had an issue with the caravan mover on arrival - we couldn’t ask for more off a site. Excellent value for money and something for everyone. Definitely Cornwall without the crowds and ideally situated for exploring Pembrokeshire and even Cardigan if you don’t mind the drive and enjoying the gorgeous scenery.
