Knew we liked the area and after reading reviews we booked for 3 weeks and hoped for the best. Wow. No wonder this site books up so fast. Lovely big and level pitches facing on to farmer's field with trees beyond. Pitches are not numbered or bookable individually - there will be one waiting for you but if you prefer another, then you are welcome to move over if it becomes vacant during your stay. What a good idea. The secure dog field was surprisingly large and excellent for tiring out our dog when we had rainy days. Ray and Jane keep the site very clean and tidy with plenty more planting to come. We had water pump problems and Ray was especially helpful and checked up on us frequently, making sure all was well. The information guides given to us on arrival contained lots of useful information. Thank you both for a great holiday.
We are just reaching the end of our 2 week stay at Marylands and have been so impressed with the site.
Ray and Jane keep the site immaculate. The shower and toilets are pristine and a pleasure to use. All 5 pitches are level and hardstanding and very generous in size.... we were able to face overlooking the fields. The welcome pack we received on arrival was a great personal touch and provided us with lots of lovely walks. The plants and bushes dotted around make you feel as if you are in a sunny private garden, bordering fields. What can I say, except thank you for a fabulous fortnight!
With 2 previous bookings cancelled, due to lockdown & a family bereavement, I was so glad to finally get to stay. Just home after a 4 night stay where even heavy rain and high winds didn’t stop me (and my Beardies) enjoying the site and some local attractions. I won’t repeat what all the other reviewers have said apart from totally agreeing with everyone’s comments. Even in October Jane & Ray refuse to drop their standards, toilet & shower facilities immaculate, as were the pitches and other facilities. Grass and shrubs neat and tidy, dog exercise area immaculate including the provision of poo bags in case you had left them in the van. It’s the attention to detail which makes a site stand out. Jane & Ray are such a lovely couple, making sure your stay is as good as it can be.
The site is ideally located to explore what Pembrokeshire has to offer and Jane supplies you with a folder full of activities to suit everyone - impossible to see everything in one visit. There is “exciting” development news about the local pub - Ye Olde Inn 👍 and for anyone who loves stargazing whilst on holiday, this site is perfect as there is practically zero light pollution. Thanks again Jane & Ray for your welcome and friendship during my stay, also a thank you to the couple from Yorkshire that were pitched next to me for their friendship during me stay. Looking forward to seeing you again in 2023 with the hope of better weather on my next visit 😉
Last year we tried to get in here but it was fully booked and I understand why, what a wonderful C.L. This year we tried again but they were fully booked for the week we wanted but then Jan. phoned to say someone had cancelled and we were able to take it
How lucky were we, what a wonderful site, extremely welcoming owners who have really made such a perfect place to visit.
We are from Pembrokeshire and come down about twice a year to visit family and this is the place we will book if at all possible every time.
Very well situated to discover virtually all of the county., 3 miles from the County town of Haverfordwest and beaches within 5 miles' The site is all enclosed with a fuly enclosed dog walking area which was brilliant for us with two rescue retrievers knowing they couldn't get out.
I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the area I'm sure they would agree this is one of the best if not the best C.L. we have visited.
.
Stayed here for 5 nights (17th -22nd July) in our campervan with driveaway awning. A great place to stay. Jane & Ray we’re very welcoming on arrival. Lovely big level pitches. Toilets and shower room always very clean ( nice & spacious too) Information pack given to us on arrival with lots of walks etc. The site is nice and quiet. Supermarkets a 5 min drive away. Plenty of lovely tourist attractions close by. One of the highlights of our stay was having Red Kites nesting in the trees in the adjacent trees- got a great photo of one! It’s a very friendly site with only 5 pitches- everyone spoke to each other. We’ll definitely be staying here again.
Marylands was our first venture into using CL sites and if Marylands is anything to go by it certainly will not be our last.
The site is set in an easy to access location not far from the main routes. It is very well laid out with each of the 5 hard standing pitches supplied with their own tap and ehu.The pitches are level and nicely separated with grass and planting. We were greeted by the owner Ray who made us very welcome and showed us to our pitch. He provided us with a folder full of places of interest to visit and various walks that we could take. The site is an ideal base for exploring the Pembrokeshire coast.Haverfordwest is only a short drive away and major supermarkets are easy to reach. The facilities on the site are a shower and 2 toilets and these are kept spotlessly clean.
Both Ray and his wife Jane work tirelessly to make a stay at Marylands very pleasant.
This is a site we will definitely visit again.
We have spent another great 2 weeks at Marylands with Ray and Jane. This is a lovely site in central Pembrokeshire. Every pitch is well defined with pretty plantings and feels private almost fully serviced with EHU and Waterits and its own picnic table.
There is a large dog walking field with a bench to sit up theretoo.Shower and 2 toilet blocks are immaculate and the composting of food waste and re cycling make it environmentally friendly too.Ray and Jane are great hosts and work tirelessly to ensure the site is always on tip top formThey even provide an individual information pack to you on arrival which you keep for the duration of your stay. The walks places of interest and pubs are all dog friendly and accommodating. Have a good summer guys.
Received a very friendly welcome upon arrival and shown to our pitch. The facilities on site were spotlessly clean and well maintained. Each pitch had its own EHU and water tap. If using an awning be sure to take the right pegs as they are all gravel hard standings (not an issue for us). There is a lovely area for the dogs to walk / play / exercise off the lead.
The approach to the campsite is very good, with majority of A roads on the approach, with only the last mile being down country lanes, (even these lanes are wide enough for two cars though). Literally less than 10 minutes into Haverfordwest, so very well located for any shopping needs, but far enough away to remain peaceful and quiet.
Unfortunately the site suffered from a lot of last minute cancellations, annoying for us as it meant we actually could have gone for longer but the dates were originally booked up, although it did mean that the quiet site was extra peaceful. It was a lovely site, and will definitely be one to go back to again.
We stayed with Jane and Ray the week of 21st March 22, they are such lovely hosts, very welcoming. The site location is perfect to explore Pembrokeshire. Facilities and site are great, extremely clean and well maintained. See you again soon.
Wonderful site wonderful facilities and wonderful host absolutely fabulous place to be it is the best cl site we've ever stayed on and will be back this should win cl of the year and we will put the vote in👍thank you Ray and Jane
