Super site

Stayed start of June and everything was so easy. Access straightforward and the greeting on arrival was very friendly and informative. The on-site facilities were meticulously clean with heated toilet and shower room if needed. Water points close to pitches and the general feel of the site was relaxed and a happy place. Great local walks along well marked footpaths along the river Waveney to Beccles one way or Geldeston the other (the Wherry inn was very pleasant). If it's sunny (it was for our stay) the site is bathed in sunshine throughout the day. How anyone can be disappointed with Andre and Judith's great CL bemuses me.

Delightful!

This was our second visit to Lowlands and it certainly won't be our last. We were greeted by the owners as before on arrival. The pitches are clearly marked, level and large and easily accessible. Once again, the toilet and shower cabin was gleaming and there is cleaning equipment available if you wish to clean up after yourself. The site is down a quiet lane with a lovely outlook yet still within a 5 minute walk to the local pub and bus stop and a 15 minutes walk in to Beccles. Gillingham is on a bus route with frequent services either in to Norwich or to Beccles and the coast beyond. Beccles has a great market on Fridays and a good selection of shops and supermarkets. There is also a marina and river access. The owners are friendly and helpful and it is a pleasure to be their guests. Thank you both, we will be back! Stuart and Maggie Darkes

Excellent Site

We have just spent 4 nights at this excellent site. We where met by the owner with a warm welcome. The site is without any doubt one of the best cls we have stayed on .Pitch's were more that adequate and level. Toilet and shower were spotless. Very peaceful and lovely outlook. This site is defiantly going on our top 10 list. We are very much looking forward to a return visit in august. Nothing was to much for the owners very friendly and helpful in every way Its sites like this that make camping such a wonderful past time. Thank you guys . Regards Mick and Helen Teale.

Disappointing

Having read such good reviews and waited so long to try this site we were extremely disappointed. Perhaps I was expecting to much. The owners were friendly and helpful. However, during our stay it did feel like we were intruding/encroaching on their garden. I do feel that photos advertising sites should be just that and not photos of an area which is over a mile away. The site was clean and tidy but feel there is some poetic licence with the photos as the only views we had were of the owners washing line complete with washing, and to the other side our view was restricted by a caravan. The Cl field is large but all pitches felt bunched up in one corner, perhaps we were just unfortunate to be put on the ‘worst’ pitch as there seemed little privacy with people coming and going to the facilities through ‘our’ specific pitch boundaries, including the owner taking a shortcut in his vehicle!

Delightful

Lovely people, we were greeted by Judith who gave us some very fresh eggs and told us to help ourselves to the produce in her bounty basket from her veg garden. The facilities were spotlessly clean and kept that way. We are not regular CL users but are now total converts.there is a lovely walk along the river to Beccles and a much shorter one along the road. Nice pub in the village, very busy at weekends. Beccles is a lovely town with great bus access around the area. We will certainly visit these nice people again!

Highlights of "Lowlands" CL

We spent a really great week at Lowlands CL near Beccles and for our first visit well impressed.Andre and Judith lovely people with nothing too much trouble and plenty of advice with local knowledge. The pitches are spacious and well served with water and power. The loo and shower facilities superb with everything you need To hand.Quiet lane outside safe for walking or biking.Just a short walk for buses to access most of Norfolk and very frequent.Nice river walk to Beccles with shops and marina for people watching.Make a visit you will not regret it.Highly recommended.

Fabulous site!

Judith and Andre can’t do enough for you. Our TV was not working and Andre offered to take it and repair it, which he did. They are both so approachable. Judith is there feeding the chickens every day and maintaining their vegetable patch with Andre. They offer fresh veg and eggs when available and don’t ask to put in an honesty box, which everyone says they should. The toilet and shower is immaculate as Judith is in there twice a day. I hate to write this review as I know when people see this I will find it harder to get a pitch! Oh and by the way, they have a gorgeous holiday let next to the site if you want to bring friends or family. ❤️❤️

lovely place

we had our first trip out this year in our new to us moho and couldn't have picked a better spot for 4 nights. Great friendly welcome. Andre and Judith really lovely and very helpful. Everywhere lovely and clean. Beccles is a lovely place and the river a great place to stroll. Bus stop at the end of the road. Eggs were lovely too from Judith. Will be back ne t year with e bikes too to get to the Wherry and Lock pubs. Sunday roast is a must at the Swan too. Recommend you book as very popular.

Immaculate site and fabulous owners

We have just spent 10 nights at this immaculate peaceful site. Adults only which appealed to us. Toilet and shower were immaculate (cleanest I've seen on a CL site) - cleaned twice daily. Products galore - from anti-bac wipes, bleach, disinfectant, soap, hand sanitizer, air freshener etc. So no worries re Covid. There are chickens on site which didn't make any noise and were no trouble. We were even given fresh eggs. The owners Judith and Andre were amazing. Such a down to earth, approachable couple. They gave us fresh produce from their vegetable garden. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Living on-site meant that if we needed any help then they were there to give it. Highly recommend this site. They also have a stunning 2 bedroom (double beds) (adult only) cottage for hire on the same site which has its own entrance and parking.
