Perfect location for Beccles

Perfect location, secluded cl with all that you would expect from a cl and more. The owners were very helpful and welcoming and the site was very well maintained. Ideal location if you like to listen to bands, we stayed 2 nights Bank Holiday weekend to go the the Swan Motel music festival. There was music at the Wherry and the Locks Inn too so plenty of choice for music. We have rebooked again for next year.

Excellent Site

Just returned from a 4 night stay at lowlands. This is easily one of our favorite sites. Andre and Judith have always got time for their guests and always give us a warm welcome. The site is a lovely spot for visiting Norfolk and Suffolk just a 20 minute walk to the beautiful little town of Beccles.Lots of local walks and the swan motel pub just around the corner at very reasonable prices. Andre and Judith keep this site to the highest standard with 1st class shower and toilet. Every time we visit Lowlands it really tugs at the heart strings when we have to return home.Andre and judith a big thankyou for all you do to make our holidays a memorable one.Regards Mick and Helen Teale.

A lovely quiet site.

We’ve just spent seven nights at Lowlands CL. We received a warm welcome and the following mornings we were given some freshly laid eggs. The site is very quiet, but close enough to the main roads for easy access around the counties. It’s a site that we shall definitely return to.

A wonderful site!

A gem of a CL which I highly recommend. Judith and Andre were the perfect hosts and a mine of information. They kindly gave us fresh eggs from their chickens and let us pick salad produce from their veg patch. The toilet and shower were as good as you would have at home and were kept spotlessly clean. We will return I'm sure!

A week at Lowlands

Just returned from a week's stay at Lowlands CL at Gillingham. Judith and Andre are lovely helpful hosts who are happy to advise on places to visit in the area. The CL feels like it's part of their garden and its lovely to see them about and chatting to their guests. We took our bikes and cycled the country lanes and felt very safe. We ate at the Waveney House Hotel in Beccles which was our nicest meal of the week. We also visited the Lock Inn for drinks in the garden, which is adjacent to one of the Broads, and the Wherry pub for evening meal. We took the local bus to Southwold as we had heard parking was difficult, it was £9.00 return for two which we thought was reasonable. Southwold is lovely and would have been even better if the sun had been shining! You can walk to Beccles from the site which takes about an hour along the river, I would suggest sturdy shoes or walk along the road which takes about 20 minutes. This is a lovely CL with an immaculate shower and toilet available to the 5 units. Would thoroughly recommend a visit.

Simply the best!

We have just returned from a 7 night stay at this outstanding CL. Andre and Judith could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The site is beautifully maintained with the added bonus of being able to pick fresh salad leaves and herbs. We were also presented with warm freshly laid chicken eggs for breakfast. There are beautiful walks and cycle rides from the site and lots to do in the immediate vicinity. It is rare for me not to look forward to getting home at the end of a holiday. On this occasion I would have happily stayed for a few more days if there had been space. We will definitely be returning.

One of the Best

I've been caravaning for very many decades, and this has to rate as one of the nicest, friendliest and well run sites I have ever been to. The owners are happy cheerfull people and this spreads across the site and campers. We have booked to return, which is something we very seldom do. We loved it.

Peaceful Site

Lovely site with friendly helpful owners. Facilities are spotless and the site is very well kept. Short walk to a local pub (typical pub grub). If going to Southwold use the bus rather than driving as it’s impossible to park. Although the 146 seems to stop running at 5.15, a bit early but I guess this may be due to reduced numbers using it (COVID). Walking distance to Beccles a very pleasant riverside market town.
