Fantastic introduction to C L sites

We were booked for 5 nights but unfortunately due to our car braking down we only stayed 3 nights.  This was our first visit to a CL site and it's thanks to the other reviews that we chose this one. When we arrived we were met by Graham who gave a warm welcome and showed us to our pitch which overlooked open country side. Water and electricity was available on the pitch and soon grey waste will be installed making each pitch fully serviced. The showers and toilets were immaculately clean with plenty of hot water. There is even a plate washing area which we were not expecting. The facilities here are as good if not better than any other site we have stayed at. Graham and Andrea have made lots of leaflets availble in reception showing all the local attractions so there is plenty to do in the area or you could just sit in the peace and quiet and enjoy the country side. Other reviewers have mentioned the train line however like them it did not bother us and we quite enjoyed the sound of it passing. We highly recommend this site and will be returning as soon as we can

Hidden Gem

We have stayed on this site twice now and will be returning. The site is within one hour from our home and is perfect for a weekend break for us.  Graham and Andrea have gone to great lengths to ensure this CL Site is presented well and kept clean and tidy. Yes there is a train which passes close by but it is not obtrusive and doesn't run overnight. There are good walks from the site ,great pubs close by plus stunning scenery .  Graham and Andrea you are doing a great job and thank you for another lovely weekend.

Brilliant

We stayed just one night whilst en-route to Cornwall from our East Suffolk home. Ideally situated for our purposes with excellent facilities on a virtually level site. Our motorhome is not the smallest (7.2 mtrs) access etc. was very easy. Having overnighted we fully intend now to go back and spend more time there to enable us to visit many of the places of interest in the surrounding area. So yes we recommend Lower Liston Farm wholeheartedly.

A Real Gem

We stayed here for a week 12th Sept - 19th Sept. It was beautiful. upon arrival we were met by the owner Graham, who was very helpful. The facilities were great all very clean, toilets, showers, washing up point, dog walk, recycling etc. All you can see from the site are fields it is lovely. There is a train line behind the site but we really didn't notice it ( I think they run 1 an hour and usually 2 coaches long) Would recommend this site and will definitely be returning

just perfect

We have just spent 8 nights (wish it could have been longer) on this site, the title sums it up completely, Graham and Andrea made us feel very welcome & were very friendly, the pitches were large and well maintained, the facilities were excellent and the view was wonderful, such a serene and peaceful site, we cannot wait to go again.

2 night stay in July 2015

Couldn't fault this site.  Well laid out and great facilities. The owners were very friendly and recommended places to visit. Very quiet at night (when the trains stopped). Hope to be back.

Motorhome Review

What a well run site. It makes such a difference when the owner is a caravaner. The welcome was wonderful, the facilities (for a CL) were spotless, pitches all serviced and grass cut. Our initial minor problem was with the nearby train line, but as they only pass about 1hr apart, they were not overly intrusive, and in any event, after a certain time in the evening - stopped, to give us a very quiet nights sleep. Would use this site again.

Perfect rural retreat with very good facilities

We stayed here for three nights in June in our motorhome. We were greeted on arrival and shown to our pitch by Mr Colwill, the owner. The sanitation facilities were first class and the pitch sizes were ample. We walked into Shaftesbury from the site (but ask for route guidance to avoid climbing over locked gates or exiting Kingsettle Wood onto the A350).

Well organised CL

We stayed for a couple of nights on our way to Cornwall.  The site was very neat and tidy.  The showers and toilets were also spotless and the washing up sink very handy.  There was no one there when we arrived but we were left instructions and a pitch number.  Will use again.
