A little bit of heaven - that is how I would describe this CL site. It is steeped in RAF/WW2 history and the owner, Diana is such a lovely lady! We were only stopping for one night to break our journey up and ended up stopping for three! The local area of Shenington is beautiful, though Banbury itself is a very busy retail area. We walked to the nearest pub - The Bell (lovely food) which is about 1.5 miles away but there is a short cut across the field which Diana will tell you about. The peace and tranquility at this site is something else and the weather in October was amazing - like summer. There was only us in our motorhome and another lovely couple in a caravan there. The apples and pears from the owner’s orchard were gorgeous, as were the eggs that were available for sale. It was so tranquil watching the glider planes above in the clear skies. We enjoyed our stay here very much and we will definitely return!
