Not a whinge!

A lovely site (even in the rain)! Beautiful outlook, local interest and more distant places to visit. And the kites overhead...! Friendly welcome from the Williams family (and the dogs). Can recommend the cafe by the lake too. As to the 'scrap heap' and the 'rotting car', the first is discreetly hidden in a pit, the second we had to hunt for! Have these people never been to a working hill farm before?

Nirvana for novices

As total newcomers to caravan camping this was our first outing - and what a delight it was. Lovely welcome from the Williams family, easy access to flat site with electric hook-ups, stunning setting overlooking valley complete with tiny stone-built chapel. Llandrindod Wells was holding a Victorian weekend with fireworks displays by the lake and was within easy walking distance from the site. Incidentally the Williams own a butcher's shop in the town where you get 10% off - their meat was excellent. We were within easy reach of numerous places of interest - including Elan Dams, Rhayader's red kite feeding station, Builth Wells - and we even nipped to the coast at Borth after visiting Machynlleth. Best of all was the tawny owl's serenade to us each night! Bob and Viv Hargreaves

A very warm welcome

We planned to stay for 5 nights but extended to 8... A lovely CL with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and the warmest of welcomes from the owners Pamela, Bruce and son John. Easy access to llandrindod town and surrounding areas, golf club just up the lane serving delicious home made food to visitors for excellent prices, and peace and quiet. One of our finest CLs so far. We will be back to this one!

Best CL so far.

A beautiful CL with panoramic views of the mountains. Well drained, easy access, quiet but just a few minutes walk down to the town. Friendly and helpful hosts Pam and Bruce Williams have even put in a 10% off all meat from their butchery in town ~ their own farmed animals of course! Watched the Red Kites flying just above the caravan, walked every day from the site ~ short walks and long ones. Great for hiking, you could spend the entire week without driving and no hardship. Can't wait to go back and after a life time of caravaning, this is the first time I've wanted to write a review .....it IS that good. Loved it. Excellent.

Good views

Stayed for a couple of nights late March. Access good. Enjoyed the views. Couple minutes walk to very nice lake then a further 10 minutes or so into town. Nice CL would stay here again.
