Good for a stopover or longer stay
The site is close to the M6, between two junctions, just south of Garstang. It is good for a stopover or there are things to do for a longer stay eg Forest/Trough of Bowland, Beacon Fell, Garstang and the Lancashire coast.
The site itself is quiet and has the benefit of toilets and shower. You can hear traffic noise from M6 and the West Coast mainline but did not find this intrusive.
I did all booking over the phone and all was straightforward. Gate code was provided during the telephone call.
Although pubs and restaurants were shut due to Covid we know from previous visits to Garstang there are lots of places to eat such as Pipers restaurant, Garstang fish and chips not far from Booth's supermarket and Indian (Sabza) and Italian (Dantes). A must visit is to Wallings Ice Cream Parlour which has a cafe, outdoor seating and takeaway.
