We arrived at this lovely little place, went through the gate and found our way down to the field. Within 2 minutes an enormous dog came bounding into the field and over to our van, it jumped up at the side door of the van!
We had to physically push this dog off our van. I can only imagine what could have happened to someone with small children or someone infirm or elderly. This massive dog would have sent them flying. So, we had to leave and now our van has dog claw scratches on the side door.
Sorry, I can't recommend this site. This should not have been able to happen. Perhaps we should have stayed and discussed with the owner but all we could think of was finding another site for the night.
Peaceful stopover
Booked for 2 nights, stayed an extra 1. Slightly sloping paddock with we'll trimmed grass. Excellent for chilling out.
Ideal base
Friendly, professional and extremely helpful hosts, an ideal base for exploring the Gower peninsula, with plenty of walking from site onto the Gower AONB. Short drive to local beaches, some of which are National Trust. Easy 1 mile walk to local pub / restaurant, also post office with local store.
A lovely place to spend a few days
Great site, peaceful with only a couple of other campers present, even at the height of the summer. Facilities are excellent and there are great walks along the ridge or take a short drive to the beach. One of the friendliest and most helpful places we have stayed.
