We have just returned from a super weekend here. We had a great welcome from the owner and a guided tour of the facilities. The pitches are immaculately kept and the views from the pitches are wonderful, although if it had been foggy they would not be good. The bus to Heben bridge stopped outside the site. If your fairly fit it is an easy walk down to Heben bridge, a steep uphill back but enjoyable. The Hare and Hounds 5 mins walk down the road does lovely food and Timothy Taylor's beers. Easy driving reach to Hardcastle Crag and the lovely walks there. Walks also from the site but we ran out of time to try them. It is a working livery so do expect some dirt in the facilities, which as a CL site they do not have to provide. Fresh water and toilet disposal point. Do follow the instructions in the book to reach here and NOT your satnav it can be tight at times but if the bus can do it!! A steep climb but worth it. We will be back.
We will return
This was our first visit to Little Nook and we will certainly return. The owner is so friendly and helpful, right from our phone booking up to our leaving. The pitch was hard standing and level with fabulous views across the valley. We had no issues with the bathroom which was a short walk from the pitch, there were clean towels for our use and the shower was double width. There was an oil filled radiator in the bathroom which could be used to warm up the room if required and we found the bathroom to be clean at all times, of all the CL sites we have stayed at this has to have the best facilities, The bus service is excellent and there is a railway station from Hebden Bridge if you want to go further a field.

First stay at Little Nook Farm
Initially booked on this site for two nights as unsure of our travel itinerary, but shortly after arriving decided to stay for four nights. When travelling to the site approaching from M62 do not turn up Luddenden Lane(as shown by both Satnav and Google as very tight windy road)... go through Hebden Bridge and take A6033 which is the Keighley Road and just before Robin Hood Inn take sharp right onto Akroyd Lane and follow through. We received a very warm welcome from the owner Stephen. The views are absolutely stunning and spoilt for choice with variety of walks. Bus service to Hebden Bridge every 30mins although we walked in. Word of warning it is quite a steep climb back to the site but after the fourth time it gets slightly easier! Hebden Bridge is a small but delightful Yorkshire town with good variety of shops and plenty of eateries. Small market on Thursday. The site is immaculate with wc and shower facilities. Despite some reviews to the contrary we found it absolutely fine and there is a mop and bucket to go over the floor after use. Fascinating watching the horses going back and forth to the stables at end of the day. All in all a fabulous site and we hope to return there. Highly recommended although hopefully we can get a space when we need it with all these brilliant reviews.
Wonderful CL
This has to be one of the best CL's I have stayed on. Welcome hosts and a stunning location. I've read the recent reviews and have to say there was no issues with the cleanliness in the washroom facilities. Yes the shower is basic but had clean hand/bath towels available and no concerns over full bins. A mop and bucket are available and could easily be refreshed in the sink. We did not use the bus service as was happy to walk everywhere with walks from the site. In all a fabulous stay again. We'll be back.

Let down by cleanliness of the shower/toilet.
As everyone has said, this site is in the most stunning and peaceful location you could wish for. The access up from Hebden Bridge was a bit tricky, but okay and the pub down the road sells Timothy Taylor's ale and serves excellent food. The presentation of the five pitches was immaculate, even manicured.
BUT, what a let down the toilet/shower was. It was filthy! Sorry, there is no other word to describe it. We stayed for a week and the open top bin in the toilet was never emptied (sanitary towels, wipes, nappies, etc?). The same dirt was all over the sink the whole time. In the corner was a mop and bucket with dirty water that didn't look as if it had been changed in weeks. Basic facilities are okay, but there is no excuse for their being dirty.
Such a shame.
The benchmark for all CL's
This site must be considered the benchmark for CL sites as it has it all for peace and quiet lovers! The views, brilliant and the site itself is wonderfully landscaped in a small sheltered nook.... The owners, warm and helpfully friendly without being intrusive. Access to town via half-hourly bus at site entrance virtually. Walks are right from the site into some wonderful scenery and if you're a lover of horses, there's plenty around to welcome you.
Downside:- having to tell others about it thus possibly making it harder to book for the next visit!
Brilliant!
We've now been to this site twice for a few days each time in the last month, it is that good!
The views are amazing, the walking is good, the shower is hot, the site is quiet.
There is lots to do in the area as well as walking.
The only downside was that we tried to go in to Hebden Bridge on market day in our motorhome - don't even think about it, just get the half hourly bus service from down the road - I can assure you it will be a much more pleasant experience!
I'm sure we will be back again soon.
Top CL
We have stayed on lots of CL's but this must rate in the top one or two its small (not too) friendly, has all the amenities, smashing owners and wonderful views. Local bus from end of site every 30 minutes to Hebden Bridge which is charming. Local pub 5 mins down hill is worth a visit and the meals are very good too. Steam train is 10 minutes away as well and well worth a visit.

Worth it for the view alone.
We have just returned from a week on this lovely little site set high above The Calder Valley with wonderful views across the valley to Heptonstall. On our first morning we awoke to a winter wonderland which surprised us so late in April but made the scenery even more spectacular. The site is very well kept and only a few miles from Hebden Bridge where there are lots of interesting shops and cafes. Some are still working hard to re-open after the floods. There are lots of good walks and a great bus service to get you around. A short stroll down the lane and there is the Hare and Hounds pub. Great for a drink and dinner after a day walking, very friendly too. An all round great site but like the previous review I'm now worried it will get so popular we won't be able to get booked next time we want to visit.
Great Little Site
I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place with this review as Little Nook Farm is a gem but I don't want to tell anyone else about it as it will make it harder for us to get back.
Stayed for a couple of nights at the beginning of April and although the weather wasn't great the site and its location more than made up for it.
Friendly and helpful hosts who have beautiful site well maintained site with everything on it that you need.
Fantastic views and easy access onto the surrounding hills from the lane that runs through the farm. The local Bus stops at the end of the farm lane and takes you into Hebden Bridge which has loads to do and if you don't want to travel far there's a great little pub five minutes walk away that does a good selection of food.
We will definitely be back.
