Only stayed the one night here, but would have stayed longer if we had more time.  Good walking area - very easy to follow path to Rye and beyond.  The Ship Inn at Winchelsea Beach is well worth a visit - don't be put off by the area or roadside spot - the rear garden is a gem.   The 8ac CL field is a little deceiving as there aren't many areas that are anything like level.  The top edge - very level, has super views, but the bottom edge is more sheltered.  Sadly no tap for rinsing toilet cassettes.   We were there during hay making too, but a sensible area had been cut around the edge for access to the more level areas.   The mast isn't in the way of the lovely views, and we heard no noise from it - not an issue on this site.
