Lovely peaceful site

We have just returned from spending 14 nights at this beautiful site. The pitches are very large and it is useful having the fresh water available at each pitch. The owners are warm and welcoming and are very knowledgeable of the area. If you require a relaxing and peaceful stay then this site is just the ticket.

Thame is lovely

Had a lovely 2 nights, loved Thame, one of the friendliest dog friendly places I’ve been to. Not much dog walking ( small woods nearby) The bells were welcome, the motorbikes racing along the by pass were not! There is some road noise but you are in a town so got to expect a bit. Eat at the Black Horse, amazing food!

What a gem!

We’ve just returned from a weekend stay at Lashlake Barn. A perfect CL in a wonderful location. John is very friendly and the chickens come and say hello too. Just up the road is a cricket ground where we were able to spend a lovely afternoon watching the cricket. Very peaceful and well maintained site. We saw the red kites flying overhead and the only sound was the church bells. Will definitely be returning.

Perfect location and warm welcome

We stayed at Lashlake barn recently and would definitely return. A well kept site in a perfect location. A very short walk into beautiful Thame, with its thatched roofs, pubs and shops. Waitrose is very close and we picked up a bus to Oxford from just outside the site. The chickens greet you when you step out of your motorhome and there is a river running through the back of the site too......it’s idealic. The only noise is from the church bells but you stop noticing after a while. John and Alison are lovely owners and we can’t wait to go back.

Lovely CL. Everything you need.

Lovely CL. Easy going owner and fab site. Electric hookup and water were on our pitch, perfect for us (unsure if this is the case for all pitches). Nice quiet site set back from road and accessed by electric gates for which each pitch had a fob remote and could come and go as pleased. Short way to waitrose and thame shops which we drove but could easily walk or cycle if you wanted. It was nice to be greeted by the local 'wardens' in the form of chickens running free across site. It was very funny when one tried to get up our step while it thought we weren't looking. Very amusing to watch the chickens wander around and getting up to mischief lol. Toilet block was closed but that didnt bother us as we use our own anyway. Shame it is so far away from where we live or we would have made this a regular visit. Only about 30-40mins drive from Oxford Ashmolean museum. Site was very quiet and Extremely well maintained. Highly recommend a stay.

Brilliant Site

One of the best CL sites we've visited. John is a super bloke. Flexible, helpful and has a keen sense of humour. The location is superb, being a few minutes walk from the centre of Thame, which is a lovely town with many pubs/restaurants, Waitrose and Sainsburys. The site itself is spacious and beautifully situated on the banks of the River Thame. John keeps everything immaculate. There is electricity and water on every pitch. It is also very secure with entry via electric gates. There is little more I can add except that we will definitely return.

Great CL

We stayed 2 nights in a Motorhome. This is a great location, bus stop close for Oxford and great for visiting Thame. We will be back and will stay longer. Electric points an water taps at pitches. As stated previously John is very helpful and plenty of information leaflets available.

An oasis

A superb site especially for motorhomes. Everything in walking distance. Quiet site but beware the church clock! The site is reminiscent of the Darling Buds of May with chickens running around and the river Thame along the site. A short walk away there is a multi acre field where dogs can run free and swim in the river. I also heard the site described as like Narnia as it opens up as you pass through the gate. All in all a brilliant site, very friendly owners and ideal for any length of stay. We will visit again.

Great Choice, Lovely CL

This is a lovely CL, only five minutes walk from the main street of Thame. Everything you would need even for the more selective of us. Great micro brewery beer shop in town, and a superb Chinese takeaway, (Famous House) opp. the cattle market as you wander into town. Most appealing to have a Waitrose within 5mins walk, as well. Even with the closeness of the Town there is a wonderful peaceful environment at the CL. Watching the chickens wander and the occasional flash of the Red Kites became a de-stressing exercise. We were not fortunate to have good weather, in fact it was foul all week but the CL took all that was offered and we refused to let it spoil our holiday. John was a warm welcoming man and he made sure all were happy. We thoroughly recommend the site and when we return to the area we will visit again. PS. I never got to see your "Flying Flea" John. Les and Vera.
