A lovely location but this is a car park!

This CL is in the corner of the car park with metal barriers and a plastic sign to indicate it is the CL. Be prepared for people to walk through the pitch areas on the site and sit on the benches in front of the van or to exercise their dogs on the grass. In all fairness, they probably don't realise it's a site, and a very expensive one too! Facilities are shared with the berth holders and are what you would expect an an average campsite. Each pitch is about 2.5 car widths with hatch markings between and is the length of a car space so vans overhang the rear. We drove onto the pitch and overhung the rear (we are a 6.4m van). One neighbour pitched sideways so was overhanging the hatch marking both front and rear, this meant he was 2.5 metres from our van and our neighbour on the other side was 3 metres from our van. As the C&MC stipulate there must be a 6 metre fire break on their main sites, I am surprised that this rule does not appear to apply to CLs. Yes, the view was lovely and so was the nearby Kelburn Estate, but £40.00 a night is excessive and is not a site we would use again.
