Outstanding!

What a lovely site! Good access roads with only the last 0.25 mile a narrow road but with passing places. The site is gorgeous, well maintained with hard standing pitches and peaceful and quite. The restored tractors and farm machinery add colour and make the site look special and well cared for.The owners are friendly and helpful and keep a low profile but are there if you need them.New Abbey village is a 10 minute walk away and there are plenty of great walks and sites within a very easy drive.HIGHLY recommended.

Landis Fm, Dumfries....Great wee site.

The CL is situated near the end of a narrow dead end lane, with passing places, about 1/2ml off the A710. The site has 5 large level H/S pitches, some which have excellent views towards Criffel and the coast, and a toilet as well. There are good walks from the site, down to New Abbey and beyond. Dumfries is about 6 mls away and has, as well as numerous points of interest, a Lidl, Morrisons and a large Tesco. Mabie forest is close by with it's purpose built 7 Stanes offroad cycle routes and waymarked walking trails. There are many places of interest in the area, with Rockcliffe a must. Around the site are a number of well preserved old farm implements and also a collection of historic tractors. At £13 per night we would certainly recommend this for a visit and will be returning ourselves some time in the near future.

Nice quiet site

We have just stayed on this site for one night as we had just picked up our new Motorhome from Dunfries and wanted to try things out. We found it a very quiet site and well spaced for privacy. We didn't get to look around the area but we will be back next year. The only thing was the access was a bit tight with a motorhome and I would say a caravan as well, but worth it

Beautiful - Loved it!

We arrived on site and was met by Colin who showed us the two pitches available and all the facilities.  The site is in a beautiful location and is very well looked after, a great credit to Colin and Sandra.  There are so many walks from the site which our dog loved.  You can walk to Sweetheart Abbey then visit the tea shop, the Old Mill and the rest of the village.  We loved this site and will definitely return.  Highly recommended.

One of the best

This site is absolutely excellent. The pitches are well spaced out hardstandings and level between large well cut grass areas. Around the site are various examples of old farming machinery, and I mean decorative not tatty, and if you are interested in old tractors the owner will give you a tour of his collection. The toilet is kept spotless. Sandra made us very welcome and recommended various days out. Kippford was one of them and the beach of shells there was wonderful. The only downside is the very narrow access road for the last half mile but please don't be put off as the site is so good it is worth it.

superb site

A nice peaceful site in spacious hardstanding , Had breakfast out side like sitting in a pleasant garden overlooking hills. Very nice lady on arrival. The local village of New Abbey about 10min walk , local pub ,shop, and good coffee shop at abbey. Bus route to local town as we have a motorhome so useful. would use again if that way again.

The Best CL

Just got back from 4 nights at Landis farm and we just loved the CL. Very friendly welcome, great pitches and the loo was spotless. The surrounding building housed vintage tractors and farm implements all for our enjoyment. Many species of birds visit to feed. Well done the Carruthers ! We will be back.

Perfect

This is a beautiful CL with friendly owners and beautiful surroundings. My kids loved the resident goats, horse and cats, and the vintage tractors. Owners were very welcoming and chatty. Lovely clean, tidy, decorated wash room.
