We spent 4 nights at Kings Orchard CL and loved it! Very warm welcome and a peaceful, relaxing location, spacious pitches with views of the marina. Yes, you can hear some road noise from the A38 but it didn't affect our enjoyment. We spent most of our time walking along the canal (the pub is only 10 minutes away along the towpath) and watching the boating activity. Fradley Junction is just a few miles away and well worth a visit, particularly for boating enthusiasts. Our only concern was that one other caravanner seemed to think it was acceptable to allow his dogs to run freely around the site and around other people's caravans whilst they were out. We have been assured that this is being addressed and that owners will be requested to keep their dogs on a lead. The shower block facilities are excellent and each pitch has a tap which is really handy. We were really impressed and hope to return soon.
Recent break.....
Most people have said it all before, easy to find, great welcome, nice set up for the cl pitches, plenty of room, great facilities, yes, you can hear some road noise (a38)and the trains but you also hear the chug of the occasional canal barge going past! all part of the experience, would recommend The Plough public house, great food and very welcoming staff. Would I return? without a doubt.
Really great CL
Just come back from Kings Orchard. This has got to be one of the best CL's in the country. The site is fantastic and the welcome is even better. There is a bit of road noise from the A38 in the distance, but it really doesn't amount to much. The Plough PH just down the road serves an excellent meal and is also easily accessed via the canal towpath. There is plenty to do in the area and i heartily recomend it. Nigel Tindale

Nice location, excellent facilities and warm welcome
We received a warm welcome and were shown round the site on arrival. Excellent facilties: warm showers and toilets, BBQs with picnic tables, and very interesting location: right next to the King's Orchard Marina. We stayed on the Marina's own hard pitches (with WiFi access), but there is also a CL grass site right next to the canal. Very well maintained site. There is a fast railway line just beyond the pub, but it did not bother us in our campervan. Nice pub 15mins walk away along the canal.

Beautiful site
We have recently returned from a 3 night stay at Kings Orchard Marina. We received a very warm welcome and the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The pitches are spacious and each has its own water and electricity point. The shower rooms are spacious, heated and were kept spotless. We visited the National Arboretum which is a 5 minute drive and would recommend this to everyone. The walks along the canal towpath are very peaceful and the scenery is beautiful. We stopped at Whittington Village for groceries, where the locals where very friendly and also at The Plough Pub for lunch - which was delicious!!
We would give this site 5 stars where it not for the noise from the road and the busy railway. The noise would not be enough to deter us from visiting again as the site and surrounding area is wonderful, but it is worth mentioning!
Good stay
Arrived to a very warm welcome from the wardens who explained about the facilities and the site. Excellent washrooms housing toilet, large shower cubicle and sink very warm all day. Lovely walks along canal towpath did not visit the pub which is in easy walking distance. The only word of caution I would say is that the site does become quite muddy when it rains heavily but despite this we did have a very good stay

great place
Great site right on the canal. 10min walk along the tow path to pub, 15min drive to Lichfield. Friendly welcome. Brilliant shower rooms !!! All in all great site.
Great stay
Visited the marina over the weekend for one night and got lovely welcome. Site is nice, situated by marina and backing on to canal. Two separate integrated toilet/shower/wash basin in rooms in a block with access using a key you receive on arrival. Spotless and warm. All in all a great site and I'm sure we will return. Could hear some noise from a38 on arrival but didn't bother us at all after that.
