Good visit

A pleasant and simple site with pitches leading off a stone access track running slightly downhill and at 90 degrees to Doverdale Lane.  The entrance off Doverdale Lane is such that it can only be accessed with a caravan from the Droitwich direction.  Each pitch has a stone hard standing that is long enough for a caravan and tow car in front of it.  Alongside each pitch is a terraced area of grass for an awning.  The back of each pitch borders a hedgerow that separates two fields with the front adjoining the access track and a largish area of grass beyond that.  The site has a very open feel with panoramic undulating views of attractive countryside in all directions and hills in the distance.  Doverdale Lane has little traffic on it which is as well as it is quite narrow but it also means that the site is very quiet.  Droitwich is only a short distance away and has a good selection of shops, supermarkets and other amenities.  The centre includes a canal and locks and is worth a visit as also is Hanbury Hall which is a nearby NT property.  The site can be accessed quickly and easily from the M5.  We only stayed a short time but I am sure there is plenty to do and see in the area by car.  We didn't have time to go rambling but any route from the site would have involved walking along Doverdale Lane which wouldn't have been ideal; the short walk to pay the bill at Keybridge Farm was tricky enough.  We hope to return and explore more.  The Honey Bee pub about a mile along Doverdale Lane is a reasonable place to eat.  There is good mobile phone and TV reception from the site.

One night stopover

Ideal for a motorhome as all hard standing and pretty level. Small tidy site with wonderful views. Careful on approach as you could shoot past as we did! Good access to facilities and friendly welcome.

Weekend stay

We stayed here as we were attending a family event locally. Great site with hard standing (might need levelling block), water, elecs, refuse point as well as grey water and toilet emptying point. Panoramic views and dogs most welcome, additional bonus was they were allowed to run around the field (under control as no livestock). Pitches exposed to wind and elements a little, but side blocker on the Fiamma was sufficient. We left one day early as another event was cancelled, the farmer refunded the night we weren't staying which was totally unexpected! Beware go slowly on approach, as the entry gate to the site IS the gate to the left of the CL sign on the post, and you cannot see the site from the road; almost missed it but had read a previous review warning us! Would visit again.

weekend stay

Have stayed at the site a few times now - only local but love being away from it all for the weekend. We have a motor home so the hardstanding is great. Also take another car so we can get out and about no problem. Local pubs and take aways are within a short drive away. We work late on a Friday so don't get there until 7 pm and we just drive on to the site and settle up the next day.

September 2012

Excellent CL with great facilities for a CL. Approaching you see CL sign on gate and the name of the farm and post code. It was dark but soon found pitch. Next morning we opened the blinds and saw the panorama before us, beautiful. Site has hard-standings, waste and recycling, Chemical toilet emptying, water and electricity. Just 10 minutes from M5, so great for a Stop over.

Summer 2012 Stop-Over

A beautiful location, less than 10 mins from J5 of M5 makes this an excellent stop-over or, for a longer stay. Each plot has an electric hookup and a water tap per two vans. Views are wonderful and there is virtually no noise at all. Facilities for re-cycling are available and an easy to use CDP, sited away from the vans make for a lovely stop. Two minor issues, the farmer has gone to considerable lengths to provide hard-standing and terracing to enable level (ish) pitches - due to the terrible weather we have had, (not his fault), it has made it quite soft underfoot and indeed we got stuck but to the farmer's credit following a quick phone call for help, had his massive 4x4 there and got us sited in no time at all. Leaving the following day was not a problem as we had levelled the two holes our van had dug and we sailed out no problem. He did say to us that he was going to bring his roller down and this should help. The other issue is spotting the CL sign, yes that is quite visible but the access to site, through lovely new wooden gates is to the left of this and it is not possible to see the vans from the road and we had to reverse up, send someone out to check to see if we were in the correct place - this is compounded by the lane being very narrow with high hedges. Simply putting a bigger sign on the gates would be all that is required. Please do not be put off by these comments, I hope the farmer gets to read them, we will certainly use them again.
