The site was easy to book and easy to find. It is surrounded with wonderful views, including across to the Malvern's. The site is slightly terraced but we did need ramps to be level. Water taps close to each pitch. Electricity is, I believe, metered but we didnt use a hook up. £12 a night without electricity. We visited Avoncroft Open Air museum of Historic Buildings whilst here. Would use the site again if in the area.
Really nice and easy to access. Extremely quiet. Owners are very welcoming. Will definitely come again if we are in the area. The owners are very easy to contact. The pitches are very flat. Can't fault the place.
It's always with trepidation when you find a site with no pictures. Is there something nasty? Certainly not here!
A lovely little site with narrow hard standings so it's easy to pitch an awning next to the van. Pitches fairly well spaced and as its on a slope, you don't look directly into next door.
Taps shared between 2 pitches so direct hoses possible.
Electric is now metered at 40p per kWh, with the nightly fee at £10, so a good price.
Use the directions quoted so you can use the pull in off the narrow lane.
Coming from the opposite direction, the approach is very acute - you can't get a solo car in without a shunt.
The Honey Bee (chain) pub is 20 minutes walk away...down a narrow, unlit lane with no footpath. Pretty good food and, according to my daughter, good Veggie food too if you're into that.
There are a couple of footpaths from the site for the dog fraternity.
Last but not least. The sunsets over the hills in the distance are spectacular!
I have stayed at this site twice now. It is a basic but quiet and peaceful site. The hardstanding is not very wide meaning that you have to walk on the grass to get in your van meaning it can be muddy in winter. The site is fairly open and therefore windswept but does come with lovely views. the post code for the site it about half a mile further down the road, so it is worth checking on google maps where you are going before just using a sat nav.
Overall very happy with the site and will visit again.
there is a pull in to the left allowing vehicle to be off road whilst opening the gate - 6 gravel pitches set into a sloping field, each pair of pitches share a central ehu & water point, grey waste into the hedge/trees, black waste point provided at entrance along with rubbish bins. The h/s area is just wide enough for the vehicle so you will have grass to step out onto, suits us with a motorhome and dogs, may not be so with caravanners intending to put awning up, I would say the first 2 pitches are flat, the other 4 are going downhill. Spectacular views towards the Malvern Hills. Good TV signal. Only pub is about a mile away (20 min walk), turn left out of site and keep walking until you see the pub, The Honey Pot set back on the right hand side. Not a typical village pub, more of restaurant chain type place that serves alcohol, so lacking in atmosphere but friendly enough and let the dogs into the lounge area as weather overcast. Didnt see the CL owner so left the fee in an envelope at the farmhouse. All things considered, very good value for £13, and only 10 mins from M5, great for a stopover
We stayed at this site for just a couple of nights, mainly because it was en route and easily accessed from the M5 and it was advertised as having hardstanding.
The site was easy to find, albeit the last mile was along a narrow back road which did see some traffic. There were a few passing places but with hedges and corners to see over and around it wasn't the easiest last mile. The actual entrance to the CL is very good. Just before rising a hill ,where the farmhouse can be seen on the right, there is a wooden gate on the left with Keybridge Farm written on it. This also allows the unit to be pulled slightly off the road whilst you open the two sets of gates. The site stands on a hill and the views towards Worcestershire are impressive, but the pitches are set into the a sloping hill. There are 6 pitches, all of which do have hard core/gravel down. However the hardstanding aspect is only as wide as the caravan or Motorhome itself and your step or water buckets will be on grass and usually slightly raised. In wet weather you will still be walking in mud. The water and electric points are right on the pitch and waste is disposed into the hedge. The elision point is functional.Your vehicle will have to be parked either in front of your unit or up by the gates. Awnings will be a problem due to the sloping nature. The area was quiet at night, although during the day it might be noisier as there is an industrial estate within half a mile and can be seen from site.
The owner was very amenable and the price is acceptable.
I am likely to use this site again but only for a short stop.
We stayed here in June 2016, the site is nicely located for Worcester, Kidderminster, Birmingham & Droitwch Spar. There are far reaching views from the site which is very quiet with easy towing access. The owner is friendly & helpful. There are footpaths for dog walking. Quiet site that we would recommend.
Have now stayed here twice in 2015 whist visiting our daughter in Droitwich Spa. It has proved ideal on both occasions and will be using it as long as she lives close by. Having two dogs the site is great for long walks, all marked. The town is within walking distance too, maybe do this next time! Not tried the local pubs yet but gather from Mr Richardson that they are worth a visit. Yes it can be a bit wind swept at times but it is the country after all. Would like to see the waste bins separated for card, plastic etc. If not perhaps a method of keeping lids down as the they blow about. Would recommend this CL.
This is an excellent CL and I agree with previous supportive reviews. We used it to attend the NEC which was easily accessible within 40 minutes. We particularly appreciated the warm welcome from Mr Richardson, the electricity and water supply next to each hard standing and the nicely manicured lawns. The sat nav coordinates are for the farm itself and the gate of the CL is actually at
N52.28966 and W002.18779.
We had planned a weekend in Stratford with our Friends and had to abort our booked CL due to the field being waterlogged.
A bit stuck as most CLs in the Stratford either fully booked or not open so we searched further afield and one phone call to Mr Richardson and hey Presto room for our two vans.
As previous members reviews this is an excellent all year CL.. My wife and I commented it would be even better in the middle of the summer .... When ever that is in the UK.
