Speechless!

Alison & Keith have done a fab job with their CL, one of the most cared for and manicured sites we've stayed on. Lovely walks along the River Welland, 15min walk to nearest pub (priorities!!) lovely flat terrain for cycling. The information room matches any club site with oodles of info. The supply of 'like homemade' ready meals in the freezer are great when you've forgotten to take supplies with you. Definitely on the "must return" list! Highly recommend.

Quality.

This was our first venture in our new Motorhome. We could have not picked a better site we were made to feel most welcome Keith and Alison we're welcoming and full of advice. The site was spotless and of a very high standard I feel we will have trouble finding anything that compares to this. Thanks for a lovely few days.

Hidden Gem

Stayed for the long BH weekend and like it so much we're going back next weekend. The owners are great - friendly, welcoming and helpful. All pitches are fully serviced and if you don't have the right equipment then they provide it free of charge. The pitches are laid out so you have plenty of privacy and I think it's the most immaculate site we've stayed on. The electric being on a meter isn't a problem, stayed 4 nights and didn't use even a £1 a day.

One of the best

An exceptional adults only site which is much appreciated by two weary teachers. We have always been made to feel extremely welcome; Keith and Alison do their utmost to make this one of the best CLs on the network. The site is immaculately maintained and pitches are well sited and secluded. We visit many CLs.  If there were a 'Gold Standard' for CLs this site would be a certainty for the accolade.

Disappointing

Just spent 3 nights here, we couldn't stay on the CL as we were told the grass was too wet so we were put in front of the storage area it was quiet but not pretty!! paid £14 per night with metered electricity which cost a further £11.88 we have family in the area so spent very little time in the van & thought the electric was excessive for this reason, also as someone else commented we might as well have stayed on a site with more facilities for the price that we paid. Wanted to try this site but won't be back.

Comment from The Club:

Many thanks for leaving a review of the site. The CL owner has been in touch as they work hard to ensure everybody has an enjoyable time at their site and they want to address your concerns.

When you called to make the booking it was made clear that due to the recent wet weather the CL was closed. As you were disappointed because you were visiting family/friends in the village, the CL owner did go out of their way to offer a pitch located off of the main site area on full hard standing with electric hook up, tap and amenity lighting, and quoted a nightly fee of £14 plus electric, which is metered at 18p/unit. The prices were made clear at the time of booking and the CL owner was unaware of your concerns during your stay so they are very sorry to learn of them in this review. I hope this helps address your concerns and thank you again for leaving a review.

The Chadwicks

Stayed on this site for the whole Christmas and new year, 2014/15 we arrived early morning on Christmas eve to be welcomed by Alison who showed us to our pitch, this was our first time away for this time of the year.  Both Alison and Kieth have worked hard on this site, it is a credit to them. It is a lovely location, very peaceful lots of walking in the local area, if you like woodland walks I recomend Bourne Woods. If you have a motorhome no need to tow a car behind you Alison will hire one for you at a very reasonable cost delivered and collected to and from the site. They will go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Electric is on a meter and WiFi payable by the hour or the week, but from this year you will be given one hour on arrival which if you log off after each visit can last a long time. Will definatley be returning it is now one of our top sites to return to. John & Miranda Chadwick, Nuneaton

over priced

Too expensive we were put on the private field pitches far too small might as well go on a proper site with facilities for the high charge owner told us they were suffering from lack of bookings I wonder why I think they should just have the five caravan site and forget the extra vans can't expect to fill such a high number all the time will not be back

Gem of a site

Just returned from a superb weekend at Keal Farm. The site is immaculate and the owners put in a lot of work maintaining the site. We were in the touring field on a grass pitch which had wall to wall sunshine. The price at £17 / night without toilet facilities is at the top end of the market but the site is worth it and we will be returning

The Best

We have just spent a week on this beautiful CL and can't wait to return later in the year.  The site is immaculate and Keith and Alison can't do enough for you.  Waste water and fresh water hoses are supplied to make life easy,(no fetching and carrying fresh and waste water).  There is a Post Office, Bakers, General Store and take aways within easy walking distance and if you feel like a longer walk, there is a lovely walk along the river to nearby Market Deeping where you can get excellent fish and chips.

first time on a cl

This was the first time that we had been to a cl as I have been put off cl's previously having read the reviews but this one was recommended to us. We did approach the site the wrong way but luckily made it in one piece lol, we will know next time we go.  Keith & Alison are great, very welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble even though we didn't arrive until 7.15pm.  The grounds are immaculate and our dogs enjoyed the field which they had to themselves. We will be storing our caravan here from next Feb as Keith & Alison provide a service whereby they will tow the caravan onto a pitch and set up ready for your arrival, what a great service, means we can travel over after work, unload and unwind with fish & chips from the wonderful chippy a short drive away - bliss. See you soon!
