Second visit didn't disappoint!

This is the second time we have visited this lovely CL. The first time we visited in August 2020 it hadn't long opened, and Trevor hadn't got round to putting in ehu. Now, four years later, the site has 6 numbered pitches - all with ehu. We were the third outfit on site when we arrived, and so chose pitch number 1. It was lovely and level and within easy distance of us being able to refill our motorhome with water using our extendable hose - the water tap being situated more or less in the middle of the field. Pitch 1 offered morning sunshine and indeed, sunshine until the early evening, when it dropped behind the trees behind us. Come the third day of our stay we had the site to ourselves, so we moved our table into the sunshine for our evening meal, and sat out until at least 8pm before it started getting chilly. I rang up to book the site a couple of days before our arrival, and I was very impressed that Trevor remembered us from our last visit. Once again we made use of the many quiet roads so we could get out on our bikes. We even ventured into Suffolk (only just) on our first full day - a 40 mile round trip! I have given 4 stars for tranquility - it mostly is quiet - but since the arrival of the F-35s at RAF Marham, the exercise flight path seems to lie overhead. The noise certainly wasn't constant - but we noticed it on the days when they were flying. Once again we were treated to red kites circling overhead, and on one of the days two muntjacs ran into the field, had a head to head ruck a mere 10 metres from where we were sitting, totally oblivious to us, had another run round the field, then went their separate ways. We can also highly recommend The Boars pub - less than a mile down the road. On Tuesdays most main courses are £12 each. The food was excellent as was the service - plus it was an easy cycle ride there and back. The price per night is now £19 which includes 10KwH of electricity.
