What a gem of a site! What more can we add to the previous reviews!
We stayed last weekend for a quiet few days away, for walking and cycling, without moving our motorhome.
We loved the easy cycling along flat safe lanes and village roads to Saltfleet salt marshes, dunes and nature reserve.
The town of Louth, with its beautiful historic parish church St James' and quaint shops, is also easy cycling.
Collette and Roy are so helpful with where to go and what to see and the best routes.
As for the CL itself, if we could give it 11/10 we would.
Thank you Roy and Colette for a great stay.
We struggle to think what more you could wish for when visiting Lincolnshire once you have been to Ings Farm. First of all booking was very easy and you could see from the owner website the specific pitches available to choose from. Getting there and set up a breeze, plenty of communication on getting there and what to expect on arrival. Location is bliss because it is at end of a lane so zero traffic noise other than maybe an occasional tractor going about its work. Views are classic lincolnshire which means you can see a long long way, big skies and great sunsets. Walks available from site which you can vary .... we walked to the beach, local farm tracks, quiet lanes etc with dog and exceptionally easy. Nice big and level pitches, owners easy going about which orientation you have the caravan so we decided to point out towards the field from front window so make sure you have long enough waste and water pipes if you do that. Fully serviced pitches, a loo and a recycling/waste station plus a sitting area where I could store my bike. The field itself has lots of space for walking your dog and the owners have been growing hedges to increase wind protection. We took walks in the Wolds, amazing Beach walks on beautiful days where we were the only people on the beach. Yes there are some really busy static sites ... rammed to be honest and packed ... but you don't need to look more than 0.5 mile from most of these and you have things all to yourself. Louth great especially the park near golf course, Lincoln beautiful. We drove past many sites that were packed with expensive touring caravans, parked close to each other, next to busy roads etc .... it is beyond me why people would choose that type of base over Ings Farm. Only help we could not get resolved is that we were just beyond the range of the free wifi on our pitch and the phone data signal (three) was a bit patchy so although I expect they will improve this, if it is important to you to have a better connection then get a pitch nearer the house or use the summer house. This is a relatively new site that is clearly on the up ... if you thinking about visiting Linc and using this site, do it now before the secret gets out and it gets full all the time.
Spent an extended May Day BH, our third visit & it never fails to disappoint, so much so, we’re booked in for September. An excellent start & end to the season for us. A proper chill out site. Excellent facilities, you can tell Collette & Ron used to caravan. Large, full serviced pitches. Immaculate toilet, no shower but not a problem for us. Everything is recycled, down to the tea bags. Collette provides you with an information booklet which is excellently put together & provides essential information. Arrival instructions are very clear. A note to readers, do not deviate from arrival instructions. Collette provides you with enough green pods for your stay, for your cassette toilet, upon arrival. They even have a tiny essential hire shop for forgotten items for the water tap! They’ve thought of everything. The site & area are an excellent wildlife heaven. You don’t have to leave the site to watch the wildlife soap operas. We highly recommend this site & Collette & Ron.
We have just returned from a totally relaxing week at Ings Farm. The site is tucked away from the main road and just so peaceful with massive dark skies if the weather allows .
The pitches are level and hard standing with grass for the awning. The outside shelter is a lovely touch though the weather wasn’t quite warm enough for us to use it and try a bit of owl spotting. Even then from the caravan we saw a kestrel, hares and owl all in the main field
Thank you Collette and Ron, we will return. Wouldn’t change a thing except maybe make it a smidge closer to home just so we can go more regularly!!
Easy booking via Ings Farm website and able to book your pitch number and see availability. Full payment before arrival so no worries about finding someone to pay. A friendly welcome from Colette who left us with a informative booklet of everything we needed to know. The fully serviced pitches were level with reinforced hard standing for the caravan and plenty of room for large awning and car. There's a spotlessly clean toilet but no shower which wasn't a problem. There's also a covered seating area and large dog walk field (on lead) though there's a long walk from site off road where dogs can run free. Colette gave us clear instructions for the site directions, there are some narrowish lanes but they're quite quiet with the odd farm vehicles which were considerate.
During our short 4 night stay, we visited Mablethorpe and Saltfleetby/Threddlethorpe Nature reserve and also a little further away, National Trust's Gunby Hall. This is a beautiful well kept site and look forward to visiting again in the future.
The best CL to date we have visited, greeted on arrival by Ron and Colette and shown to the perfectly level fully serviced pitches, facilities are modern and clean, lovely walks with our dog straight from the site, peace and quiet guaranteed as there is no traffic noise whatsoever.
Third visit to Ings Farm and enjoyed every moment of our stay.
Perfectly positioned for the coast and the Lincolnshire Wolds, the site offers peace and quiet but with easy access to places of interest.
We enjoyed both walking and cycling in the area and the added bonus of water and grey waste at each pitch added an element of luxury to our stay.
We certainly plan to make repeated visits to this site and would never bother to look elsewhere when visiting the area.
Lovely CL site, great welcome from Ron and Colette. Easy to follow directions to site and handy local info leaflet given on arrival plus handy bottle of green Elsan fluid for the loo. Peaceful, relaxing, all in all a smashing find!
We have just arrive back from this gem of a site.
First impression as we arrive was Wow.
Collette gave us a warm welcome on arrival and adviced us of walks in the area for the dogs.
Our pitch was spacious and peaceful with views all around.
All with water and Grey waste and a little hedge separating pitches.
There is a place to walk dogs off lead directly of site which is a big plus for us with to spaniels.
Lots of beaches and walks within easy reach.
Both Collette an Ron were always friendly and approachable and work hard to keep this site immaculate.
We highly recommended this site and will be back.
If you are looking for peace and quiet, then look no further. Would highly recommend this site. Easy access to and from the site with good clear instructions from the owners after booking. The toilet block, elsan and recycling area were clean and tidy and well lit. Full marks to both Colette and Ron for a well run site. Got some lovely photos, will definitely be returning.
