This was our first visit to this site and what a delight it was. It was spacious and the setting was lovely, surrounded by fields with sheep and lambs and great views. We stayed on the lower area which is flat but the upper area which slopes would have even better views. The onsite facilities were good and very close by and the owner very friendly and helpful. My daughter was running the Shakespeare marathon so the location was perfect and close enough to town to cycle to in about 10-12 minutes. There is a cycle way currently being built which you can use but it was a bit bumpy and narrow in parts and might not be accessible in the weekdays if they are working on it. Once that is open then access to Stratford will be very easy on foot or bike.
There is a parkland golf course a few minutes down the road which we will come back and play as not time this time and we will definitely stay at this site again.
A LONG WEEKEND IN OCTOBER 23
This is our 3rd visit to this site, it is very handy for Stratford eitherr by bus or car. We were given a warm welcome by the owner and because the field was a little water logged were offered a place in the farmyard. Having looked at a likely pitch on the lower end of the site I was able to use the motor mover and avoid damaging the grass. The owner asked me not to park next to the caravan, which was not a problem. Over the weekend the grassed areas dried out and when leaving I was able to drive up to the van without damaging the grass area, as requested by the owner. Overall I have no hesitation in recommending this CL to other members.
Well situated and great views.
Access is down the farm lane and well sign posted.
There are two areas to choose from. The first is flat and suitable for motorhomes and the second is an area to the top of the field and is grass, and sloping. All have good views of the countryside and across to the Cotswolds.
This site is surrounded by field’s of sheep. It’s a lovely quiet site (and yes, there is noise from the sheep, it’s a farm) with minimal noise from the main road.
The water, waste and recycling are all in one area at the bottom of the site just before the exit.
There it’s a bus stop at the end of the lane just to the right which takes you to Warwick and further. The bus stop sign is missing to go to Stratford on the other side, but if you wait in the area opposite the other sign in a gateway, it will pick you up and it’s £2 per adult into Stratford. 10 minutes on the bus drops you in the centre of the town. We got a taxi back which was £10.
Charlcote House is a National Trust property worth seeing and just down the road. There are a number of farm shops within a short distance to include Cafes.
The views are stunning, The farmer, friendly and helpful.
Total relaxation
Wonderful CL offering total relaxation.Beautiful views. John the farmer very friendly and enjoys a chat .
You’ll receive a warm welcome from Peggy the farm dog who will bring her ball to your feet for you to play with her. She’ll sit on your caravan doorstep and bark a couple of times to get you to come and play. Wish we could take her home.
John will do everything he can to make your stay a pleasant one.
We will be back John.
Great for visiting Stratford and surrounding area
We stayed for a few nights, what a beautiful view we had. Our pitch wasn't level as we were on the slightly higher field (you can choose and we chose it because there was more space on arrival and it was so beautiful, ahh the views are great in every direction you look) but we got levelled up OK, perhaps bring a couple of pieces of wood and ramps. We had a very nice welcome from the owner and his little dog and we asked about where to park to visit Stratford and he recommended a car park (a free one) just along the road into Stratford on the LHS called the Fishers (or Fishermans) and then its just a half mile walk along the river into Stratford which for us was perfect. He did warn us that it gets busy but we were lucky and got a spot both times we went in.
We also visited National Trust Charlecote from here and Warwick which were so easy to get to from the site.
Would definitely go back.
Very helpful owner
Very pleasant stay on this site
Owner very helpful when we arrived, the ground was quite wet,
and our motor mover decided to play up, he provided extra blocks etc
Pleasant Say
Nice tidy little CL site over looking fields and sheep. Well sigh posted from the road then along a narrow lane and a big swing to get into the gate. Very handy for Stratford-Upon Avon which was only 2 miles away and is well worth a visit with its lovely canals. The farm dog Peggy is a little character coming to visit you for a tummy rub. would definitely come back if we were to visit this area again.
Lovely CL, very well situated, great host, hope to be back soon
Very happy with this site, the owner John was very helpful and his little dog was adorable. It was an ideal site for our needs. Everything one might need was close by. We hope to return.
Lovely site
Whilst out in our motorhome came across this lovely farm CL surrounded by fields and sheep, welcomed by John who offered us various positions, Facilities: no toilet but everything else well laid out and signed. Well positioned for visiting Stratford, would return if in the area.
Excellent CL
We spent three nights at Ingon Bank Farm and were delighted with the site. John, our host was welcoming and friendly. I won’t go into a description of the site as it has been covered in many previous reviews, suffice to say we wouldn’t hesitate to return. Only minor gripe was that John wouldn’t let us keep the resident Jack Russell who adopted us whilst we were there.
