very clean site

Having read previous reviews,we were looking forward to our time at Hungerhill. The drive and arrival was easy and having rang ahead to tell the owner that we could be a little early,we were told it was ok and to chose whatever pitch that was empty, which we did and there was 3 nice hard standings to chose from.We promptly set up and got the caravan set up easily, the only problem so far was the water tap and toilet empty being a tad too far away(older folk could find it a pain). On the site is a wooden shed where there are books,CD`s and info on walks and places to visit etc,and which i bumped into a lady who was very nice and told me of the few walks and things to do in the area(but she wasn`t the owner) On waking after our first night on the site to the traffic noise and from 6.30a.m. onwards the helicopters flying over every 10-15mins i was a little grumpy, but because we live in a very quiet secluded area we didn`t get too bothered by it by day 5,but the main bug bear was the electric and our welcome which didn`t come until day 4 and wasn`t that welcoming, proberly down to the fact that my hubby had to knock on their door at 7.30a.m one morning to ask about turning our electric back having cut out with only the hot water and lighting on!!!(it happened twice),and i was in the shower on both occasions.10 amp electics points are ok if they work properly, and as i`ve never had the problem before at other 10 amp sites, there is something wrong somewhere!! Lovely dog walk though!!!

What more do you want !

Just returned home after stay at Hungerhill first week in August. Superb site in all aspects. Great welcome from owners Claire and Vinny, tried to get on this CL a couple of months ago but unsuccessful - now know why - it's such a great site I would imagine it is pretty well much booked up most of the time so don't give up too easily - keep on trying as I assure you it is well worth it. The site is as good as any toilet block less Club site we have been on. Walks can be taken around the farm with the help of laminated maps and information about the farm and the birds and wildlife which can be found there. A superb dog walk is less than 50 yards from most of the pitches which can be amalgated in the farm walk. The pond is excellent with some huge fish which Claire and her daughter (Alice ?) feed every night and it is quite a sight. The site is extremely well looked after and beautifully manicured - let's just remember to help the owners keep it that way and we can all enjoy it again and again (if we can get booked in quick enough) All in all a crackin' little site - it will get our vote for CL of the year next time we can vote. Thanks again Claire and Vinnie - as Arnie would say "Hasta la vista" - we'll be back !

This site is perfect for peace and quiet beautifully kept nice big hard standing pitches well spaced out. Ideal for dogs as there is a dog walk in woods right on site and miles of walks in the farmers fields also has good free wifi will be back thank you for a great week. Antony & Neil

A little gem in NE Lincolnshire

This is a super CL with views over the surrounding fields. It is a credit to the owners, who have created it with thought. The hardstanding pitches are a good size, and are well spaced out. The information hut is similar to those on the club sites with plenty of information, books, DVD's and puzzles to borrow. A good dog walk is provided and illustrated farm walks are available. A bread, sandwich and hot food van comes each morning during the week.
