Tranquility at its best.

We stopped at this cl for 10 days, unfortunately the area suffered the worst rain fall for quite a long time, but the sites hard standings were perfect and no water in the awning at all. The pitches are flat and very spacious, our double axle caravan and awning fitted on the pitch without any trouble, the service pitch facilities are first rate, the shower and toilet block are excellent, clean and well looked after as was the rest of the site. It is quite apparent David and Maureen care for and look after the site with a passion, nothing is left to chance. The peace of the site was only disturb by the sound of birds and sheep in the surrounding fields. There are nice flat roads to go for a walk along and also the fens to walk along. There are plenty of nice and interesting places to go to in the area. We met Chester, David and Maureen's chocolate Labrador who is a character in his own right and extremely friendly. For us the whole 10 days here were very enjoyable and we will go back there, as there is nothing not to like. The strawberries they sell are nice and tasty also. Thankyou David & Maureen for a pleasant stay.

Peaceful and immaculately kept certified location near Sutton St James

We stayed here for 6 nights in June and it was a lovely site with all the facilities you need. We were in our motorhome with cycles and our scooter. Its a great location from which to explore the area particularly on a bike, where with a good map you can pick your way via safe and quiet small roads to various places of interest and towns nearby. It’s flat as you might expect so cycling is easy. The scooter or a car gives you lot’s of options to go further afield to the bigger towns and the coast along the Wash which is quite spectacular for either walking or cycling along the dyke. There is a pub in Sutton St James which is quite good for pub type meals and is about a 30 minute walk or 5 minute cycle ride from the site. Maureen gave us other options for better dining nearby but you would need transport or a taxi if you wanted a drink. Crowland ( with the Abbey and town) , Spalding & Kings Lyn are all with a visit, Wisbech not so much! The bird life was also very interesting. We had a lovely time and would definitely recommend the site for a tranquil and friendly stay. Thanks to the owners!

A great CL

We stayed at this site at the end of May. The site has very good access routes, every good hardstandings, electric and tap at each pitch and the toilet, shower and information building is excellent and kept very clean and tidy. We were welcomed by Maureen's daughter who was lovely and gave us good local area pointers, such as the nearest butcher and shop (the butchers is VERY good) and the next day we met Maureen who was as lovely as her daughter. The area is excellent for cycling, being so flat and has beautiful sunsets. The site has been planted fairly recently with many trees which will soon make the site a really pretty area. There is a pond with ducks and geese and a couple of sheep with lambs in the field adjacent, they were lovely to watch. There were fresh strawberry to purchase from the farm which were delicious; we didn't get a chance to try the eggs on sale as we were already stocked with them. We had a smashing stay and would recommend this site to anyone visiting the area.

Welcoming CL

As a predominant CL user, we found this site less than an hour from home so ideal for a short break. Well laid out with electric, lighting and water to each pitch and security barrier at the entrance. Home grown strawberries & eggs onsite to purchase. Ideal for dogs as the site is alongside the river dyke, with miles of good walking. The shower and toilet room is an added bonus. Situated with easy access to Sutton Bridge (good walk from Guy's Head along the river bank to the Wash), King's Lynn or a day out at the seaside at Hunstanton. Would highly recommend.

Peace and tranquility

Stayed here for over 2 weeks in April. A really peaceful setting with great facilities. Shower and bathroom in summerhouse with plenty of free hot water. Pitches a really good size. Dog walk along the banks of the fenland drain (river) next to site was handy. Maureen is a really friendly owner and we look forward to returning soon. Clive & Jackie Holden

Best CL we have stayed on

We have stayed on many CL sites over the years but this is no doubt the best one with all the facilities that any one could wish for. The owners where very pleasant and welcoming, we enjoyed it so much that we have booked to return in a few months.

Wonderful peaceful relaxing place

This is the perfect site if you want to get away from it all. Hard standing on a very level field with hook up, drainage and water to each individual pitch. A very clean toilet and shower are included in the site fee. There is a wonderful dog walk just the other side of the river (2 mins walk across the field) perfect for off lead walkies with lots of wildlife on the river. Owners are friendly and accessible if you need them. Would very happily come again.

Great weekend

We only live 30mins away but wanted to get away for the weekend and I found this CL on the caravan club site and I'm glad I did. All five pitches are hard standing on gravel and all have drainage and water supply which is a real treat. The site itself is very clean and tidy, spacious and well lit at night. The river runs alongside and the fishing pegs look very inviting and you can walk for miles which we did as we have two small dogs. We will definitely be back in the very near future. A first class CL.

Return Visit

We have just returned from another visit to this site. It is a real find and we would recommend it to anyone. Maureen is lovely and the site is so well looked after its a credit to her. The facilities are second to none, with fully serviced hardstanding pitches. The outlook is lovely, Bubbles the small horse is in the next field, (and he loves carrots by the way). and there are geese too. A rural site with everything you need. We shall be back. Love V & M
