No pleasing some people. Clearly states it's a working farm so you should expect to hear activity early in the morning and encounter farm animals. Might also find the site owners more welcoming & helpful if you approach them in a polite and cheerful manner!
We all like too think that our pets are perfect but If you have a dog/dogs and choose to stay on a working livestock farm you really need to be very sure that you have full control of them, that they are comfortable meeting farm animals and represent no threat.
This said, we're country folk with a couple of (sociable & fairly well trained) Border Collies that like an early morning walk. We're used to getting up around 5.30 in the morning, have no problems with the cock crowing or a tractor working the fields - or the usual farmyard smells.
Good luck finding those idyllic rural sites with the picturesque views - there are plenty out there!
