We have just had the most wonderful weekend at Higher Shorston Lakes CL, we were met by Kizzy on our arrival who made us feel very welcome and at home in minutes and we had a short chat about the site total of 19 acres including three fresh water fishing lakes also plenty of space to walk the dog. The entrance into Higher Shorston Lakes CL is like many other CL sites on the network, we have a 4.7 m length car and a 7.4 m caravan, care is required but it's not so bad just a matter of taking time when turning in from the lane, once on site again take time down along the lane on to the main CL area. We were on pitch number four at the bottom of the CL which gave a good view of the site and area, there is free wifi and showers the toilet area is very clean and tidy and maintained to a high standard. The CL site is large and on a hill side with four level hard standing pitches cut into the hill, well spaced out oposite a large grass area, the grass was cut short and the grounds are very well kept. We would recommend a 4x4 car for this site when towing out of the site. We spent two day trips at Bude which is a great day out enough to do for a week end away, about 10 miles away from the CL. The fresh eggs were amazing. Will certainly be returning.
