Gateway is not easily visible from the road, but as we had been in the area previously we knew roughly where it was, Gateway and drive are quite tight and you need to stay on the right of the inclined drive to make the left turn into the field. Once on the field the owners will meet you and direct you to your pitch. Pitches are slopping and generous, but caravans can be levelled with the scope of standard feet. There’s a water tap in the first pitch with recycling and Elsan point to the left of the entry gate. Walking down the road to the pub is possible but you need to take sensible highway precautions as there’s no footpath. (After dark I would advise reflective clothing and or a torch). We walked to the stork hotel many times the traffic was conciderate but is used by articulated lorries. There is a public footpath across the fields but we did not use it on our last visit. There are 3 pubs within walking distance and a cafe at the Ashton Hall Garden Center and 1 in Glasson. Nearest supermarket is Booths in Scotford.
