Lovely site, must return
We have just spent 10 days at the lovely Hendrifton Farm, visiting family who we have been unable to meet during the lockdown. The site is in an idyllic position, with open views of the countryside and sheep and cattle.
The owners were very warm, welcoming, generous and kind. They were concerned that everything was alright and regularly kept an eye on things.
On one day, Suzanne delivered a delicious cream tea, with her own home made scones.
On another day, she delivered her home baked sour dough bread - warm and tasty.
We found the approach narrow but plenty wide enough and a good wide entrance into the CL.
There is lots to do in the area. We visited Hannafore (West Looe), the Eden Project and Liskeard. We walked to Siblyback Lake (there is either the road or a footpath), Tregarrick Tor, Cheesewring, Rough Tor and Brown Willy (stunning views of both north and south coasts).
The Siblyback Lake cafe has changed hands this year and we would highly recommend it. Their galettes are delicious and their coffee is as good and as well prepared as you will find anywhere.
Bruckey Farm shop is just 200 yards along the lane, on the way to Siblyback. They have a great selection of fresh fruit and veg, and dairy products - particularly enjoyed the home made, local jams and the Trewithen dairy clotted cream. Catherine was very friendly and pleasant.
We hope to return to the site for another super stay.
