Easter 2014

My family and I spent Easter 2014 at this site.  We received a friendly reception from the Swift family and were loaned a map with all the locals pubs highlighted. Phil took time to point out local sights, such as a waterfall and offered advice on walking routes from the site. We used this site as a base to visit Longleat Safari park for a day and the drive was fine. We had the luxury of being the only guests, but the field is large enough to accommodate full capacity without feeling cramped. A stream runs alongside the site and my children enjoyed playing by/in the stream. We also had lunch on the picnic bench located by the stream. Access from major roads is good, and Phil provided advised routes from local towns upon booking to aid in route planning. On one day we had prolonged heavy rain. The field drained well and we did not experience any problems with bogging down by foot or by car. The local wildlife is abundant, we took a bird feeder and it was visited by a whole host of different species of birds. The site is clear of obstructions so you get the benefit of the sun all day. Phil maintains the site to a high standard and we will certainly return again soon. This site is a real gem and the picture does not do it justice.

Fantastic CL/Lovely Owners!

This is a beautiful CL!! We found Phil and his wife so welcoming and friendly. They took time out to tell us where the Badger sets were around there land and also were willing to show us round their beatuful garden and fruit and veg. The site is right out in the country and so tranquil with a lovely stream running through it. You can walk to the Duke of Cumberland pub from the site in about 20 mins. The pub is lovely also and does lovely food. Would highly recommend this CL to any member.

Superb secret location

This is a real gem of a site. Phil and his wife couldn't be friendlier or more helpful. The site is maintained to an immaculate standard at all times - even in this wettest of summers. I really am loathe to say how lovely it is for fear of it getting too popular and fully booked when we want to go there!!! 5* site
