Quick weekend break

Just changed from a caravan to campervan and thought we'd try some local to Manchester CL sites with the camper. This one popped up on our searches and wow, very impressed. Booked for a Sat/Sun night and blessed with lovely weather. Well laid out, lots of space, all the facilities you need, well maintained and a very pleasant owners. There's a cafΓ© on the doorstep which is well recommended but closed on Sunday. We had our bikes which took us to Barton Grange Garden Centre, not too far away and well worth a visit. We also cycled to Garstang a little further on where a Tractor Parade of vintage and modern vehicles was ongoing, fundraising for a children's charity - quite exciting! Would definitely recommend and hopefully will be re-visiting very soon.

Lovely and peaceful CL

Stayed at Moss Lane for three nights en-route to Scotland and received a nice warm welcome on arrival. Site clean, neat and tidy with pitches well spaced and of ample size. A lovely cafΓ© and gift shop next to site entrance and a short walk to the canal and local pub serving excellent food. Would not hesitate to recommend this site and would definitely stay here again if visiting or passing in the future.

Fantastic CL - would highly recommend.

We used this great little CL near Preston when we were getting our campervan habitation check done nearby. It’s a beautiful and peaceful site in lovely countryside. Communication by Andy was excellent - great directions and useful tips on where to eat and spend time locally. Andy came over to say hello and to check we were OK. We walked to the nearest pub (about 20 minutes mostly along the canal path) and had a good meal there. Will definitely be back if we’re in the area again.

Excellent & peaceful site

Been here several times now, and always an enjoyable stay. Plenty of space between pitches. Nice and peaceful. A short walk (a mile or so) in either direction brings you to great local pubs. For the more energetic, about 6 miles or so along canal takes you to Garstang village. Serviced pitches also a real benefit. Owners close by if needed (never needed yet)! Look forward to coming back ! Wayne & Florence

Hidden Gem

Our first time here and it certainly won't be our last. Site in a lovely setting albeit on a narrow lane, facilities top class and with the little cafe next door what's not to like. Shame we didn't get to speak or see Andy & Lisa as they we're away on our visit. There is certainly plenty to do in the surrounding area and if you like walking, like us, then a visit to the information centre in Garstang is a must, they have walking information for all the surrounding area. All in all a very pleasant holiday, helped by decent weather, and we would recommend this site and will certainly return.

Lovely CL

Just returned from a lovely stay at Moss Lane, we were supposed to be there 6 nights but because of storms came home a day early, Andy was very helpful with possible solutions to the storm situation, including an offer to leave the caravan and return at later date. We were given a warm welcome and the site is wonderful with electric and water to each pitch, a little walk to facilities but we did not use. Very dog friendly site and also visited The Plough at Eaves which was very dog friendly and served wonderful food. We will return to this site later in the year and highly recommend Moss Lane.

Great little site

We have just returned from a 3 night stay here. We received a warm welcome from Andy upon our arrival. Easy to find. Directions provided were spot on. Lovely views. We will return in better weather. We had the pleasure of storm Eunice during our stay! πŸŒ€πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚ Rain, severe winds and then snow! We visited the Plough at Eaves for lunch which was really good. Great food and dog friendly. We unfortunately didn't get chance to visit the cafe next door to the site but online it looks amazing. Definitely worth a visit. We will be back.

Great CL in a great location.

Just returned from a three night stay at this CL it is well looked after tidy and clean with water to each pitch a big plus. It is also very dog friendly with several walks direct from the site and also the use of a small paddock adjacent to the site for use to exercise your dog. As stated there are several circular walks from site and several local pubs and restaurants within walking distance. The owner is friendly and obviously spends time maintaining the clean site. There is a country lane running past the site but traffic is minimal during the day and none existent at night. Well placed to visit the coast Yorkshire dales or the Lake District easy access to main roads and motorway a definite for a revisit.

Return Visit

We have just returned from our fourth visit from this lovely site and can’t wait until our next stay. As always we received a warm friendly welcome from Andy. The site is very easy to find and all the pitches are flat and have water and electric. The shower and toilet facilities are great and very clean. Bilsborrow has everything you need and is within walking distance and there are lovely walks along the Lancaster canal. We will be making many more visits to this site I am sure.
