A really lovely holiday
We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 weeks at Hall Farm. We booked for 12 nights and stayed for 14 because we had fabulous weather. The site is a small paddock off a quiet lane. Electric is paid by meter, which took a bit to get used to, but we do think this is fair - those who use a lot, pay more than those who don't. There is one toilet and one shower in separate rooms just through the small gate. There are stables at the site, so every morning we enjoyed seeing the horse riding /jumping lessons. The shower takes £1 for 5 minutes which was just enough time for me to wash my long hair . No option to adjust the temperature and it takes 15 seconds to warm up so you feel a bit cheated. The area has loads to offer - seals at Horsey Gap, Horsey windpump and the walk there, Sea Palling is a lovely safe beach, Great Yarmouth is the typical busy, fun seaside resort, Gorleston is a beautiful beach with tennis courts, bowling, splash pool, arcade, cafes and FREE parking, We hired a day boat from Robinsons at Wroxham - £135 for a 7 seater boat for a fabulous sail round - calling at Salhouse Broad - in memory of our friend Melanie. We went to Hickling Broad Nature Reserve and walked for hours, taking in the scenery and birdwatching - fabulous. At the site we heard and saw lots of birds - swallows, tawny owls.. the stars and moon were amazing too. Couple of things - The toilet was cleaned once a week so I cleaned it myself inbetween. We used our own toilet paper as the one there got jammed in the dispenser so unusable. We bought a new bottle of handwash as the one there ran out and was just being topped up by water by someone so it was useless. We only saw Gail the owner once - She came when we texted to say we had arrived. All in all, a lovely place and we certainly enjoyed
