A Gem of a Site

Let's get the worst point over first....there isn't one! A beautifully kept site, setting the standard for CL's, with easy access, and beautiful views. Water at each end of site, and well presented disposal area. The easy walks from the site along the River Wharfe, both towards Ilkley, and Bolton Bridge are spectacular. Being adjacent to a main road, but lower and behind an old railway embankment, there is some low road noise, but never obtrusive, and does not detract from the beauty of this site. Will return here when at all possible.

Great location

We spent two nights here after Christmas 2015, the owners were very helpful and it was easy to gain access. The views are stunning, looking down to the River Wharfe and it is so easy to reach the town and explore the local hills. We will be going back!

Wow !

Having used this C.L. for a number of years we were quite amazed & impressed with the improvements which have been made. The pitches have been leveled & widened, low stone walls have been built. Security has been enhanced with a new gate & keypad entry system. All the positives of the site remain. There is slight road noise but this does not detract  from this gem in Yorkshire.  We really enjoyed our visit a few weeks ago and feel that we should congratulate Mr Battersby on the work he has carried out. April 2013

We stayed for 6 nights and found this site to be ideal for our needs. The site is well cared for with 5 hard standings with electric hookups to the rear of the pitches. Lovely views down to the river wharfe with FP access close by to the Dales Way. No toilet or showers but good facilties for maintaining own. Bus stop nearby so handy if you don't want to use the car. Main A65 runs close by, road noise noticable but not overpowering.

Great Views

The five pitches are all hardstanding but slope alot from back to front so plenty of leveling bits required. A footpath near the entrance goes down to the river and joins The Dales Way and in about 30 mins takes you into Ilkley. Overall its a nice site with great views but there is a lot of road noise from the very busy A65. We thought £12.50 a night was a bit high considering there wasn't a toilet and the electricity was restricted to 10 amps.We visited in April 2013
