Margaret & family are really good, friendly, helpful hosts. The site is next to the family's working farm & with that goes the sounds & smells of the countryside .... cow's mooing, hen's clucking & tractors doing their thing ....including helping you if/when you get a little stuck! Access to water/loo cleaning is as easy as it should be. The site is spread over two large paddocks ... so spread out, no need to crowd your neighbour! We just started motorhoming in March 2019 & have been back 3 times with friends n family already. We used to live & work nearby & know the area well - there's more to this place than the guide book indicates - - Leighton Moss RSPB is within cycling distance - We off road mtb riders can find lots of trails nearby (eg Whitbarrow scar) - Cycle the lanes/bridleways to Grange/Cartmel/Lythe Valley or Arnside - walk the marsh road to Dallam Park/Beetham/Fairy Steps & beyond - sea fishing at Arnside peer - river/game fishing ... contact Kendal Anglers - the "old bluebell"/Heversham hotel is a great beer n food pub. & there's so much more to do too ....
