We now know why there are so many positive reviews!

We cannot really add much to the other reviews. Jeanette & Rob have to be commended for setting up a superb CL and have managed to get it “right first time”. We have just spent three nights there, admittedly not in the best of weathers, but we still had an enjoyable time. As others have said, all pitches are level although tiered and the central services facilities point is a carbon copy of the Caravan Club version. The toilet/shower area was spotless and the red light over the door establishing that it was in use was a novel idea. We would have like to have done more walking in the area but the constant rain put paid to that! We will return when the sun comes out & dries out the footpaths & byways!

First Class CL

This CL is every bit as good as a Club Site, if not better ! Warm welcome, hardstandings, water and waste points similar to the club site design, an information room and laundry, a toilet, hand basin and shower room similar to club standards, which even has a red light above the door so you can see if it is occupied. There are no campsite " street lights " to shine into your caravan keeping you awake. We visited Lincoln, Louth and Horncastle which has a Tesco, but we preferred the local shops, especially the butchers and the cheese shop in Louth. Good luck to Rob and Jeanette with this top quality site.

Just Fabulous

Just spent 4 nights at Greetham Retreat and had a great experience. Rob and Jeanette made us very welcome to their beautiful site. Facilities are spot on, hardstandings which are level and excellent toilet/shower block. Peace and tranquility in abundance, Plenty of wild life in the well landscaped grounds including resident owls calling to all who listen. Area of outstanding natural beauty with plenty of places to visit including market towns of Horncastle, Louth and Spilsby, Reception has plentiful supply of brochures and lots of maps for local walks. Rob and Jeanette have put a lot of effort into providing a quality product for all their guests.

5 stars on all counts!!

We booked this site as its local but we wanted Xmas 'away in the van', I have passed it many times as its only about 12 miles from home! but WOW what a site & really I souldn't be telling everyone as next time I want to go it will more than likely be full!!! It has so much that you wouldn't expect on a 5 van site, one of the best shower/toilet rooms that I have been in & the best laundry/drying/information rooms I have ever seen!!! The grounds are so nicely laid out & the hard standing is very good, as someone else put the only thing that I heard was an owl. Also thanks to Rob & Jeanette for offering to tow our van home when I was taken ill. This is a site we will be using many times.

Thanks to everyone that voted for us in the CL of the Year 2012 Competition

Rob and Jeanette at Greetham Retreat CL are so pleased and surprised to have been awarded a Regional Commendation for Central England in the Caravan Clubs 2012 CL of the Year Competition. We only opened our CL site less than 2 years ago and have become very popular with many visitors returning several times in that short time. We would like to thank all our Caravan Club guests who took the time and effort to vote for Greetham Retreat CL – it is very much appreciated and we look forward to seeing you all on site again very soon. All the hard work building our CL site from scratch has been so worthwhile and enjoyable. It is so pleasing that our caravan guests really like what we have provided for them. Thanks again to everyone who nominated us. Rob and Jeanette Folwell, owners of Greetham Retreat CL near Horncastle in Lincolnshire. Website: www.greethamretreat.co.uk

Peace, Tranquility and Excellent Facilities!

The best CL that we have been to. All the facilities of a CC site on 5 pitches. We had a tremendous weekend here on the 16 - 18 November 2012 and I can only echo the comments of the previous reviews. An excellent and spotlessly clean toilet and shower block (1 shower and 1 toilet in a heated building adjacent to the letting cottages) and EHU powered by the solar panels on the cottage roofs. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet - no road noise - in fact the only noise was the sound of the barn owls in the trees on the site. Also there's no light pollution here so that made for good stargazing. There is a bus to Lincoln and Louth which calls at the entrance to the site on demand and there are plenty of interesting places to visit nearby. All in all a fabulous site and one that thoroughly deserves to be a roaring success. We plan on returning in February 2013.

Best So Far

Everything on this site has been well thought out. Nothing has been forgotten and all has been done to highest standard. Toilet and shower facilities are excellent, Good waste and recycle bins. A real bonus was the laundry facilities. Any new CL sites setting up should meet this standard. This is the future!

Couldn't be better!

A fantastic CL. Good hardstanding pitches, immaculate toilet and shower facilities and grounds with pond to view, explore and take a coffee or wine to. We did both! Very helpful owners who have put a lot of thought and effort into their CL. Plenty to see and do in the area, Lincoln in well worth a visit.

A gem of a CL!

We arrived at Greetham Retreat in late July 2012 and were immediately struck with the way everything was set out. The site layout is superbly planned and includes terraced hard standings with easy access, walks through meadow style paths and a tranquil pond to sit around and relax. Other niceties of the site consist of laundry facilities, toilet and shower room, lots of local information, good digital TV reception and WiFi that is included in the price! When you arrive you will soon be welcomed by the owners Rob and Jeanette who will give you all the information you need. Rob and Jeanette are both caravan enthusiasts and it soon becomes apparent when you look at the way the site is organised and planned. When you add all this together with the beautiful countryside around you, it truly is a gem and one that we have no hesitation in recommending and will certainly return to. Thanks Rob and Jeanette, Dave and Alison.
