Is perfect.

Yes, the best CL we have stayed at. Clean, tidy and friendly people every where.  Like the welcome board, but yes, the toilet/shower could have been separated.  Ease of access to Horncastle for buses to Skeggy (Skegness) or Lincoln.  Owners have good knowledge of the area.  Voted for it this year, well done.

Just about perfick

Everything it's reported as being, excellent. Very peaceful site, pigeons excepted :-) Good idea with the occupancy light on the toilet/shower. Only minor point was, it's a pity the two aren't seperate, as when a couple are using the shower, it can be a long wait to use the toilet :-(

When can I go again?

What a cracking CL......well done all round. We booked the day before our CC mag dropped thru' the letterbox showing it had won CL of the year award, ( honestly). Booking was an easy process, the directions given were accurate, as was the additional information on their website. Peaceful, clean, large pitches, great views across the countryside, and immaculate shared toilet/shower block. The owners have fitted an external red light above the block door to show when it is occupied, however, I got neck ache occasionally looking out for it! The owners were really great peeps and showed interest in their guests without being pushy. We had a couple of very heavy storms whilst there, but the hard standing pitches nor the grass grounds flooded draining very well. If you take a dog there are plenty of walks both on the CL and adjacent to it. Take your bino's...look out for the wildlife around. There is also a great information room full of useful stuff. Will we return? You bet !!

Still as good 2nd time round.

We visited this site 3 years ago when it first opened & decided to go back last month. The facilities are still 1st class & the owners Rob & Jeanette could not have been more friendly. Jeanette even remembered us from our first visit. The site is a haven for wildlife with a path going round a man made lake which our Westie dog loved. Can see why it won CL of the year & I will be voting for Greetham again This year.

first time at Greetham retreat

We booked this site when it was awarded the CL of the year. We wanted 5 nights but because the award had created so much interest were only able to have 4, however we have booked again for September. This site justly deserves its award, the owners are so obliging and friendly, nothing is to much trouble. Just about to give them my vote for CL of the year

Small IS beautiful!

The site was our first stay on a CL and we were not disappointed with it's relaxing position and beautiful views. Rob and Jeanette made is feel very welcome and we felt very much at home with the lovely surroundings. A lot of thought and very hard work has been put into the site layout and it is already beginning to look like it has always been there - blending in with the rest of the magnificent views. All the pitches are tiered and spacious. The modern shower block is very clean. Once the trees and the wild meadow have had chance to develop further the site will be a haven for wildlife. Needless to say, we really enjoyed our stay and have already booked for next year.

A Peaceful Retreat

Just returned from Greetham retreat this afternoon, and all I'll say is 'retreat' is definitely a good word to use when describing this site. If peace and quiet is what you seek then this site is one you won't want to miss!  It was our first ever visit to a CL, and I fear we may have been spoilt. Our hosts met and greeted us upon arrival, and Rob spent time giving us lots of useful information on the surrounding area, including where we could get the best cake!  The site is beautifully landscaped, the caravans are well spaced out, and everything is  well maintained, and spotlessly clean. Its ideal for those who want to un-busy their lives, and chill out, and its worth noting, that they also have several, beautifully appointed cottages for hire for any non caravanning buddies who might need to recharge their batteries. Put this CL on your radar if you love peace and quiet, its a jewel!

Must visit site

Visited early February and were lucky with some dry weather. site is lovely, welcomed by owner Janette and husband Rob on arrival. Facilities excellent, good hard standing for Motorhomes, essential out of season especially this year!. recycling, waste disposal and water easy access, everything has been thought of. Shower and toilet were very clean and high standard. Lovely walks in very scenic area, Belchford, Viking trail, Hagworhtingham. Horcastle is nice to visit and old railway for walking / cycling to Woodhall Spa. We will return if we can get in!!

The definition of relaxation

Having stayed on quite a few CL's which were little more than a grass field with a tap and waste disposal,  We have to say that Greetham Retreat provided a setting and facilities which were outstanding. The site is beautifully laid out and even in not the best weather, provided for one of the nicest most relaxing weekends we have enjoyed in a long time. We will definitely return and have no hesitation in recommending the site. Cant wait to return.
