Outstanding site.

Wonderful site very peaceful and tidy. Plenty of wonderful walks straight from the gate. Site owners very friendly and welcoming and very helpful when we had a problem with Motorhome. Will definitely be back.

Very well organised and run CL.

Welcomed personally on arrival. Great to have good wifi connection. An information hut has an OS map on the wall which is great for planning walks and cycle rides. Lots of info on local eateries, shops and attractions. We walked to The Village Pub at Barnsley and had an excellent lunch. We also visited the Catherine Wheel. Easy walking with footpaths to beautiful Cotswold villages in all directions. The owners have thought of everything to make an enjoyable stay.

Another great visit

Peter and Julie have made many improvements to the two sites. They are friendly informative hosts and are also making striking alterations to their private garden. We are looking forward to seeing what produce their lovely new kitchen garden will offer campers. We have been visiting for over 20 years and will certainly carry on coming.

Great stay. Great owners

Beutifull site. Owners very welcoming. Dropped a star for peace and tranquillity. Tractor dealers have a yard immediately behind site. A lot of beep beep beeping from tractors after 8am. Lot of aircraft noise from distant RAF station early morning and evening. However overall an excellent clean and tidy site. Would return.

Definitely worth all the good reviews

Well organised sites, both "Lodge" site with hardstanding where we stayed and large grassed "Meadow" separate site with good views. Easy to find and pitch, with useful information sent a few days prior to visit. Welcome was genuinely warm and very good information and maps supplied by Peter along with contact details had we needed anything. Good common sense site rules. Location perfect for varied days out, good walks, cycle routes as easy or tough as you want to make them, watersports only a few miles away, and of course the lovely Cotswold villages and towns. Definitely recommend either of these well run sites.

2 night stay at Orchard Lodge

First time at this CL and very likely to return. Julie and Peter were both very welcoming and provided all the necessary site information and also details of local walks, sites etc. The pitches were well spaced and level. Overall the site is very quiet and peaceful with only a very occasional sound from the farm machinery site next door during the day. Easy to walk into Bibury and the less popular but possibly more pretty Ablington. Bibury does not have any real stores for provisions unless you fancy paying £6.00 for a soda bread loaf from the “Twig” coffee shop! The nearest pub as you walk into Bibury, The Catherine Wheel, serves very good food and drinks that are not over-priced. On this occasion we didn’t take our bikes but this was a pity as we missed out on some excellent quiet lanes which we will have to explore on our next visit. Overall this is well worth a visit to this Cotswold site.

Lovely CL in the Cotswolds

Extremely warm welcome from Peter and Julie to this very well run CL. Well spaced hard standings with easy access to EHU and water and good high speed internet access. We tried both the suggested local walks which we thoroughly enjoyed. No views from our pitch which didn’t really matter as we were using our silver screens but other pitches did have views. This is a site which we will definitely be revisiting.

Peaceful & Perfectly Located

Orchard Lodge is a small (5 pitch), beautifully presented CL adjacent to the owners fine Cotswold property. The welcome is warm and informative. We were greeted by Peter & Julie with tips for eating, drinking, visiting and walking plus copy OS maps ready to use. Arlington, Ablington and Bibury are all on a manageable and accessible 3-6 mile circular walk. The Catherine Wheel in Arlington was our preferred watering hole. The bus to Cirencester is a mere 10 minute walk down the road and within 15 minutes we found ourselves in the beautiful Capital of the Cotswolds. Well worth a day out. All in all, a lovely weekend at a fabulous CL - highly recommended

Great Site and Owners

Our second visit to this lovely peaceful site, Julie and Peter gave us a warm welcome on arrival. Pitches are well spaced out with Views, Each Pitch has Electric hook-up and Water. After spending the week here we have booked to return again later this year. Our Thanks to Julie and Peter for making our stay so pleasant.

Bibury mini break

We stayed at Orchard Meadow for one night for a little motorhome mini break. Really impressed with the ease of booking and paying online. Julie was friendly and informative and there was plenty of space in our allocated pitch. We were very lucky with the weather so walked into Bibury to visit the trout farm (great fun!) and have a pint in the Catherine Wheel beer garden which was lovely. There was some noise from the adjacent road during the day, but not enough to spoil our stay. A very well organised site and a pleasant way to spend a weekend.
