No one on site when we arrived, but as this is a working farm it's to be expected.
A little care required accessing this site.
The toilet block was not kept clean on a regular basis so we stopped using it.
A lot of grass clippings left behind after mowing and not cleared away, making it very messy when wet. (not regularly cut)
Great field views from the site you can just see the wind farm off New Brighton, best seen at sunset. Lots of birds about for the bird watchers to enjoy, and a good bridleway next to the site to cycle or walk.
The biggest downside from our point of view, was the relentless drone from the motorway traffic less than a quarter of a mile away. Still that's not the site owners fault and many would not mind, because from this site there are lots of places to visit and enjoy.
Stayed in the Farmyard
We stayed here for one night in November 2012, in our motorhome. The CL itself was very waterlogged due to the excessive rain at the time, so the owners allowed us to stay in the farmyard itself. We use our own facilities, so can't comment on what was available at the site. Some noise from the motorway, but otherwise very peaceful. Bus stop in the village, which gives access to surrounding towns. We had a lovely afternoon exploring Port Sunlight.
lovely cl
We are spending Easter week here and was made welcome by the site owners straight away, it is a lovely square field with stunning veiws over the Wirral peninsula.
Well positioned for touring both the Wirral and Liverpool,
The toilets are brick built at the side of the barn very clean and newly painted with a toilet and sink in both the ladies and gents toilet , shower room is next to the toilets and entry is by key from site owners .
It is so quiet here it is a peaceful haven to rest for a while plenty of dog walks all around including storeton forest that is within walking distance .
Fresh water , grey water and elsan point all at the entrance and 10amp hook ups are available .
It is a big horse riding area so horses are all around as are normal farm animals sheep ect .
Would I come again , definitely yes
