Great Gralyn

Having originally intended to make a stopover on our way home from Norfolk, we ended up staying here for 8 nights, the site is so peaceful, quiet and relaxing. The pitches are open and not overshadowed by tall trees, well spread out with electric hook ups, and the grounds are very well kept. Even the water, waste, and recycling area is neat and tidy. Graham and Lynda have thought of everything, including a light over the water supply tap for anyone arriving at night. Sensational - Serene - Spacious Site

Peace and quiet, flat lawned site with excellent facilities - this site deserves to be used! Please read all other reviews. Graham and Lynda (site owners, club members and regular caravanners) are most helpful and welcoming. Members are given an A4 sheet of important and local information. Donington is about 1 mile away - great history and fascinating church with detailed display about Matthew Flinders (first to name and chart Australia). His statue is in the small town square and the superb 'Chippy' opposite is named Flinders. You will enjoy vast Lincolnshire skies and expansive views across the magnificent, productive agriculture of England and be proud of our farmers. You are within 20-30 minutes drive of Boston (visit the Stump), Spalding - a delightful old town, RAF Conningsby - its strike aircraft and the BBMF Lancaster, Spitfires, Hurricane etc. Grantham and Peterborough, with its magnificent cathedral are about 50 minutes away. Bird watchers will love the RSPB facilities at Frampton Marsh and Frieston Shore, There are many other visitor attractions in the area. This CL is a'cracker' - and you will surely enjoy it and appreciate the efforts of the owners.

Easter Break With Cake

“What a find” tucked away in a small corner of Lincolnshire, Gralyn Barn is a must for those who want peace and quiet. The site is flat, lawned and the owners can’t do enough to help (even homemade cakes at Easter). Because of its location some kind of transport is a must however even at Easter getting around was not a problem, with the very flat terrain a bicycle would be the ideal source of transport. This is a CL we will be visiting again.

The Model CL

The other reviewers have said it all really. The owners are members also and know just what a CL should be like. The site is part-screened by hedges but the orientation allows the sun to shine without overshadowing. Flat, rural landscape with big skies and it makes a change to listen to the silence without the sound of traffic and trains. A good location for touring Lincolnshire and Donington village has a butcher, baker, Co-op, etc. with free parking for visitors.

Excellent quiet site, good for cycling.

We stayed for around a week. A level site, very spacious. The electric points are well spaced out so you can orientate your caravan whichever way you like. The grass is kept short, and the site is well looked after. Donnington has everything you might need, including a great 'chippy'. We are 'fair weather' cyclists and thoroughly enjoyed the area, having been out on one of the days cycling for at least 2 1/2 hours and only seeing three cars! Very quiet roads and very flat. The locals all seem to be very friendly, especially when we looked lost! Not many cafes though, which is a real shame as the area is so pretty. Spalding good for shopping, especially the butcher's pies, and Springfields Outlet too. Plenty of stuff to do round and about. Lynda and Graham made us feel welcome and chatted on several days. The only downside was the noise from the aircraft flying over the site (day time only, and not on weekends), although we saw the Red Arrows on one of the days, but other than that, the site was very peaceful. Wonderful dark nights. We were lucky to have some beautiful weather and managed to sit outside pretty much every day.

A Hidden Treasure

This is our first visit to this CL we have just returned home after a 5 night stay the site was level and so peacefull and quiet. We found plenty of places to visit and I particularly enjoyed my visit to springfields shopping outlet and the Baytree garden centre, and the RSPB Frampton Marsh. The owners Lynda and Graham were very friendly and made us feel welcome and we will definitely return.

Peaceful and quiet

This adults only site is perfect if you like a it quiet.  It's our second visit in less than a month.  The owners are very nice and made us feel welcome.   Its ideal if you like cycling as the surrounding roads are very quiet and more importantly flat.  We will definitely be using this site as one our regulars.

A gem of a site

We recently stayed here for 4 nights (April 2016) and met up with friends. The site had easy access and was level and well maintained. It was extremely quiet and very relaxing. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Thank you
