To start with, access is good because the entrance is on a corner, so you drive straight in...After opening the gate of course. Don't do what I did and pull into the house drive before the site entrance. Tip. It's round the corner!!
A nice welcome from Lynda and the two Collies. The old goose was more aloof, staying in her pond. Quietly.
Neat and clean utilities area with various recycling bins as well as waters and drains.
Plenty of options to site the van with multiple electric points.
Nicely mown level grass site with views over the fields.
A pleasant avenue to walk your dog, or your other half (delete which doesn't apply!) runs from the site around a meadow.
A very nice, peaceful stay for us, thank you.
But fellow caravanners, get in quick for the £12 per night before it goes up....
What more can you say about this CL, think every review says it all & yes its £12.anight unbelievably great value, although the owners were away (enjoying their holiday, hope so) the couple that were looking after the site were very friendly & showed us where everything was. This is a CL we will return to, having found it. All the best for the future Graham & Lynda. Richard & Patricia.
Great CL, quiet location, nice flat grass field with plenty of space between the pitches. EHU, water, chemical disposal and rubbish/recycle point, and for £12 per night you cannot ask for more.
We stayed here for a stop over on our way from Yorkshire to the Norfolk coast, ideal. Owner friendly and welcoming and the village of Donington with amenities is approximately a mile walk away.
Would recommend and would definitely use again.
As previously mentioned, very easy to find off A52 in Donington. Level grass field with essentials conveniently sited. Open fields around with plenty of night time dark skies. Lots of wildlife, even watched Larks soaring up from field singing their wonderful song. So peaceful but only a mile away from village amenities. Highly recommend. At this price it’s an absolute bargain.
This is how a CL should be.Easy to get to, water, electric, somewhere to empty the toilet cassette, nice flat ground, friendly owners, fairly convenient for nearby places of interest, dog walk on site & safe roads/footpaths to walk on if you want to walk further afield, good tv/sat & 4g signals,
Ideal for a nice quiet escape. The icing on the cake is the sensible price.
If we are in this part of the country again we wouldn't hesitate to return.
Once again we've had a lovely peaceful stay at Gralyn Barn, and can't fault the site for quiet tranquillity and restfulness, nor the hospitality of our friendly hosts, Graham and Lynn. An added bonus are their two dogs, Mollie and Jess, and the tame goose Flossie. Its already been said, but I thoroughly agree with previous visitors, that its a hidden gem, and we'll be back again.
What a lovely peaceful quiet site, the only noise was the wild life,We saw Hares and Deer in the adjacent field. We'll definately return Graham and Lyn are the perfect hosts they deserve to be busy but hopefully not so successful that we cannot find a space when we return in the not too distant future. Stewart & Lyn
