A lovely site with a warm welcome

We have just had two nights at this location, enabling us to visit relatives in nearby St Clears. We couldn't have wished for a better welcome from the owners, Brenda and Glynn. Although there are no hard standings, the grassed area was more than adequate for our motorhome. The site is just off the busy A40 road from Carmarthen, but far enough to not be bothered by traffic noise. There are the usual facilities - electric hookup, water, chemical disposal point, waste disposal. One thing that would be nice to have would be a toilet (perhaps with shower), but this in no way detracts from the quality of the site. Watch out, we'll definitely be back later this year!

An example to others

Almost faultless & if it wasn' t for the road noise from the nearby A40 it would be perfection. Two more charming & welcoming hosts you could not wish to meet & their concern for the wellbeing of visitors is reflected in every aspect of the facilities which are excellently maintained, signed & located. It's a pity that all CLs charging over £10 can't ask these lovely owners how they do it. The best of CLs.

Excellent quiet site, Brenda and Glynn are most welcoming

We enjoyed this quiet peaceful field in early August, set in the hilly countryside near to St.Clears. A convenient place to shop with several small supermarkets stocking everything one needs, a butchers and other shops worth a visit to buy those forgotten items. Lovely country walks, with most places very easy to travel to from here. We stayed for two nights on our touring holiday of Southern Wales, we decided we would return on our way home but unfortunately the stormy weather set in so this was not possible; although we have planned to return in the Autumn at some point. We were quite taken with the unspoilt atmosphere of the area. Brenda and Glynn are most welcoming and manage the site well, very clean, electric hook ups available, reasonable pitch fees, lighting at night. The farm dogs are friendly and well trained. We would definitely recommend this site and a visit to the Boat House where Dylan Thomas spent some time; fantastic views of the Bay, a very relaxing start to our touring holiday. Visited the National Trust property at Colby, a beautiful garden and a time when the blue hydrangeas were stunning in the sun light. Will long to visit this part of Wales again.

Arrived 2 June 2014

This is a very well kept and well managed site. The owners, and their dogs were very friendly and welcoming. We had booked for 3nights but actually stayed for 6. We can recommend the Cantonese takeaway in nearby St. Clears. If we are ever in the area again we would definitely go back to this site.

Excellent place to stay

Arrived on the site with a lovely friendly welcome from Mr & Mrs Evans. We were only going to stay for one night but ended up staying for three as they told us what was to see in the area. We visited Dylan Thomas boat house and the surrounding stunning beaches and coves etc they were so helpfull and made our stay a fantastic experience. It is so central to visit these stunning sites and Carmarthen itself without the usual narrow roads etc. Well worth a visit. (electric hook up is available but not shown on this web site.) .
