Great CL, great owners, and great value!

We spent four nights at Goatfell Farm in early May 2022. We couldn't fault it! All the five pitches are fully serviced with meticulously maintained gravel hardstandings. We did need our levelling blocks, but the slope was minimal. The lawned areas are neatly mown. The rubbish bins and chemical toilet facility are well situated and spotlessly clean, with well labelled recycling and not an overflowing bin in sight. There is a lovely wet room with toilet off a room with washing machine and tourist information. Martin and Sally were delightful hosts. Sally welcomed us to the site as soon as we arrived and we bought some very reasonably priced eggs from her, laid by the hens on the farm. The site is well situated near the A523 to Congleton (you can hear this a bit), and there is so much to do from here. We visited Biddolph Grange Garden (glorious), Little Moreton Hall (unique) and Lyme (impressive), all National Trust. There is a lot of wonderful countryside within reach too. We'll be back, Sally and Martin! As an added bonus, there is a very recently refurbished Air B&B on the farm. Martin showed me inside and it is beautiful, with everything a couple could want. So if you want to come here with friends or family who don't have a caravan or motorhome, they could stay there. Martin suggests you ring the CL number to discuss this.

Goatfell Farm it’s good and I’m not kid....ding!

A warm welcome was received by both Sally and Martin and a clear overview of the site and the facilities were given on arrival. The layout of the pitches is fantastic and this in turn offers great views of the Peak District from your pitch. Not only did we have a relaxing break but our dog relished in the dog walk offered on site. All in all, great owners offering great facilities which leaves you eager to return for another relaxing break.

Great CL

We have just returned from a couple of days with Martin & Sally who have been great hosts. A lovely location and great facilities. Each pitch has its own water and EHU point as well as a drain. When we arrived Sally popped over to say hello and orientate us. Definitely somewhere we will visit again and we cannot recommend both the site and the hosts highly enough.

Really Enjoyed our stay here!

Everything you could want from a CL - Sally is a very welcoming host, the pitches and facilities were excellent, the views good and the surroundings interesting. We spent most of our days doing bike rides, and there are some great views to be had from the moors - but it was quite hilly! We won't hesitate to return when we are next in the area.

Goat Fell Farm

We have just had five enjoyable days at Goat Fell Farm near Leek, Staffordshire. The site and facilities were first class with generous hardstanding pitches. Each pitch has its own water and grey water point and views over the surrounding countryside. There are numerous walks in the area and visits to small towns and villages. We will definitely be going back to Goat Fell Farm in the future.

Wonderful CL

Just returned from a short stay at Goatfell Farm CL. First time there and we were very impressed. We got a warm welcome from the owners, shown to our pitch and explained where everything is. Each serviced pitch is hard standing, large with grass area between pitches. Spotless toilet/bathroom. Lovely views over the Staffordshire countryside and ideally located between Ashbourne and Leek. There is a bus service nearby. A lovely peaceful site and we will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

Wonderful week away

6 fantastic nights - having fun days out, coming back to a fab site, with electrics/water and hard standing. Shower and bathroom are handy if you want to use them. Able to do lovely walks, around Tittesworth reservoir, the RSPB site at Coombes Valley nature reserve. With a head for heights - The Roaches, with a bacon sandwich at the tearoom opposite went down well A bit of History at the Gladstone pottery, with -pre booking required in Stoke on Trent is worth a visit Eggs available on site and our first try of the Staffordshire oatcakes are a must! Thanks to Sally for the poached egg pants ! Would recommend this site

An absolute gem of a site

What a fantastic CL site. A warm welcome on arrival and the owners are so friendly. We were helped to pitch and given info on facilities. Serviced, well kept, large pitches with a lovely mown field for dogs/ activity. Buxton, Leek and Bakewell are all within easy reach. Longnor is a village worth a visit too with a pub. Tittesworth reservoir is close and a great picnic/walk location. We will definitely be returning and would thoroughly recommend this CL site.

Peace, quiet and chickens.....

What a lovely place to stay! Immaculately clean, friendly owners and lovely big pitches. The dogs enjoyed the freedom of a run in their very own field. Definitely recommended.
