Friendliest CL we've ever stayed on

Friendliest CL we've ever stayed on, the site owners and the other campers, some of which were repeat visitors Peaceful, reasonably priced and in an excellent location, which is what we were looking for. £1 coin meters for EHU charged at residential rate not commercial so cheaper than bigger sites. Water and grey waste on each pitch. Toilet and shower which we didn't use. No TV reception but good signal on EE for streaming from the firestick. ½ mile flat walk along an off road footpath to the Wiseman's Bridge Inn and the beautiful beach, both dog friendly. We walked on to Saundersfoot, the cliff tunnel was being repaired so it was a bit of a hike over the top through the woods but coming back we walked over the beach as the tide was out. In the other direction another flat, mostly off road walk along a stream and trees to the Kilgetty iron works where there was also a walk though woods to an old colliery. Toilet disposal could do with updating and it isn't the most picturesque site but if it were perfect it would probably cost twice the price (and deserve to). We enjoyed our 4 night stay during our June roadtrip around Wales.

Brilliant !

We have recently come back from four relaxing peaceful days at this lovely adult only site , I just wish we had booked longer . It was our first experience of a CL and were really impressed . The owners , Mary & “Bear” were very welcoming and they obviously take great pride in their site .The pitches were a good size and well spaced out . The facilities were much better than we expected . We never had to queue to use the larger than usual shower with toilet or the separate toilet next door . They were always clean & fresh . There is a comprehensive and well labelled recycling station behind the facility block , not just the usual “general waste “ & “recycling “ bins we usually see ! We didn’t drive anywhere while we were there , everything you need is within walking distance. Lovely walk over the coast path to Amroth every morning for coffee/breakfast and then a walk back along the beach for lunchtime drinks / food at The Wisemans Bridge Hotel ( only ten minutes walk from Glynafon) and then more beach walking into Saundersfoof. If the tide is out you can even walk to Tenby , and if it isn’t then you can walk the coastal path or get the bus . It was a perfect break in a perfect location . We have already booked for longer next year and I’m sure we will be regular visitors in future. Thankyou Mary & Berwyn for your hospitality !!

Absolutely Wonderful!

This was our first experience, of a club CL, and what an experience it was! We were given a warm welcome, by the owners` daughter, KIM and her husband, KEIRON, who were running the site, in the owners` absence. Nothing was too much trouble. The pitches all have their own water tap and drainage and there is a lead for Freesat TV. (If you haven`t got a sky box, they`ll loan you one.) The toilets and showers are wonderfully clean and comfortable and the whole place is well maintained. We spent 7 nights there and will most certainly go back.

Warm Welsh welcome

I must agree with"rhish 1706" and Hardwicks27. This little gem of a site is everything they said- please read their review. I have visited Mary and Berwyn several times over the last 4/5 years and look forward to my visits every time. You get a welcome second to none, you arrive as a visitor and leave as a friend. Looking forward to my next visit .

Fab site, location and especially owners

Just returned following a 2 night stay - curtailed by 3 due to a family bereavement. The site is perfectly located, a flat 10 min walk to Wiseman's Bridge (and its Inn...), and either a 30 min flat nice walk to Saundersfoot or the other way up the road and along the coast path to Amroth - slightly longer and hillier, but no great shakes. So, perfectly located (excellent directions from the owners too on booking). The site is clean, all hardstanding pitches are flat and the toilets and shower are clean and well maintained, as encouraged by the owners for us to keep things clean, as we should! Excellent recycling arrangements, and chemical toilet disposal too. TV signal poor, but the site loan you a freesat box FOC (Freshwater East, please note...) so you have full access to all channels of interest really. Each pitch has its own EHU, freshwater tap and grey water drain (so if you bring something to channel your drain straight to it you would be totally sorted). This is a working farm etc., so yes you'll see some old vehicles and projects in progress, but that's all part of life - there's no noise etc. by the way. The biggest asset is the owners and their family (3 generations?) - really nice, warm people and Mary you were so kind when I had to return home at short notice - we won't forget it. So, we're planned for a return in August and can easily see us popping down there regularly. Thanks again!

Little Gem

This CL site is a little gem situated in a fabulous location. Within easy reach to Wisemans Bridge a little further to Saundersfoot and Amroth - all within walking distance or Bus Service. Many more places to visit Dylan Thomas Place, Tenby, Pendine to name a few. Mary and Berwyn are extremely welcoming - Tractors not a problem for us (With all the beautiful places to visit in Wales not too sure why you would want to spend time in Motorhome/Caravan to even notice that they are there!) - My only issue was I wasn't able to stay longer, but have already booked another visit this time for longer.

May Bank Holiday fantastic find

This is a lovely site with very friendly and knowledgeable owners. Previous reviews had commented on vehicles on site however the site was in the midst of a big clear up already looking much better than we had expected. It is a lovely setting with nice views across the valley with the fully serviced pitches being well laid out including free use of a sky box. We used our own facilities but the on site facilities were impressive and spotless. Our 3 dogs enjoyed the walking straight from site to both Saundersfoot and Amroth, with the beach at Wisemans Bridge being do friendly all year round. Over the 10 days we only scratched the surface of things to do so we have already booked to return next year. We would absolutely recommend this site.

Would not recommend

Welcomed by owner and proximity to site excellent but stay completely spoiled by small size of bottom pitch and site appearance. We were in one of the bottom pitches with a caravan awning on one side and the entrance/exit track on the other, next to which and behind us was an assortment of rusting metal machinery, building materials, old sheds with years old contents spilling out, piles of paving slabs, plastic drums, in front of us, near the top tier of caravans were rusting tractors, more rusting metal, cars and old caravans. We had booked for 6 nights and stayed for two.
