Handy stopover with fantastic views

We used this site as a stopover whilst travelling the length of Scotland. A more interesting alternative to the caravan sites on the busier side of Loch Lomond with fantastic views from the site over the loch. Facilities basic but ok. Site at the end of a long hard surfaced track from the main road which also serves as a handy dog walk - very little traffic along it and whatever there is you can see it coming well in advance. The walking options from the site are limited to the access track and along the road from there to Balmaha. There is a pavement all the way alongside the road but it is a bit of a long way. We went to the Oak Tree Inn at Balmaha which was ok.

Stunning views

Great little site, with easy access to Loch Lomond shores just a short drive, or walk down the road. Elevated location gives stunning views from your pitch. Very quiet location.

Superb CL with outstanding views

What a gem! Easy to find and in an excellent location within walking distance of Balmaha (1 mile). However the unquestionable appeal is the views over Loch Lomond. Absolutely stunning, particularly if you get one of the 3 front pitches. Very peaceful, no road noise. In fact no noise at all except the sheep! Never been before but will definitely return.

Stunning

Just stayed for 3 nights in our caravan. Well kept site, EHU, very basic CDP. Great access to Balmaha and Loch Lomond. Blessed with the weather and simply stunning views. Will definitely return when passing next.

Hidden Gem

Lovely Views, easy access to Loch & Ben Lomond owners where friendly, quiet and peaceful until the last couple of days where someone was starting a chainsaw up a 4 in the morning, not sure if it was on the farm or further in the Forrest. the only gripe is I booked a pitch in the January at £15.00 per night, but middle of March I get an email informing me the price was increasing by £3.00 per night to £18.00 per night

Great location and stunning views (Gartfairn Farm)

This is a lovely site, good size pitches and facilities you would expect from a CL. The views are stunning. Will be back to visit, really recommend this

Excellent Site - fantastic location - shame about noisey others staying!

Stayed her for 2 nights in May on way back from Loch Ness. Everything about the site, views and location were fantastic. EHU, Water and Waste close by. Well maintained and close to fields with sheep/ lambs and cattle. Fantastic views of Loch Lomond and the islands toward Balmaha. 3 front pitches have the best views of the Loch - however surrounding scenery just as good with hills and countryside. Shame about other visitors; even though a working farm, let their dogs out without leads... despite the warning signs... our neighbour emptied their grey water container into the filed opposite!!! and whilst it's good to be chatty, talking very loudly for over an hour on numerous occasions was somewhat disturbing... however will definitely be visiting again next year.

A tranquil site with views of Loch Lomond

A well maintained site, beautiful views and ideal for touring around Loch Lomond. The owners were extremely helpful when our friends self levelling broke And were unable to move. They Accommodate us for an extra night which was the most kind of them.

Relaxing break

Fantastic views and a well laid out site, with water and ehu on each pitch. About 3/4 mile from Balmaha easy walking. Canic Hill dominates the back drop and a circular walk from the site is about 6 to 7 miles up and around it using the western way. It's a working farm surrounded by fields of sheep with lambs on our visit, helpful and friendly hosts. Would highly recommend this site.
