If ur looking for somewhere quiet, clean and hassle free look no further.
The site is immaculate throughout, the grass is well kept, including the path for the dog walk.
The pitches are ample size but some are on a slight slope which is easily ovecome with levelling blocks.
All pitches are serviced so bring a water hose and waste pipe and ur sorted.
Tv and Internet reception are excellent but dont waste ur time at this site watching tv and surfing the net because there is so much to see and do in the surrounding area.
The owners are more than helpful, nothing is too much hassle for them and they are easily contactable if not on site.
Our only complaint is that most of the home bakes in the hut were scoffed before we got to them!!
Will definately be back again, and again, and again!!
Great CL with very helpful owners. Beautifully manicured and a great dog walk. Gardenstown village and harbour definitely worth a visit but tight with a motorhome and very steep return, adequate places to park when you get there.
Access really good. CL had 8 Hardstanding pitches and an additional 6 in a separate area that you need to drive through to access the CL. Information hut with lovely home made cakes for sale. Levelling blocks definitely needed as although each pitch on gravel there is a definite downward slope. There is a drive over MH waste point used by all pitches so potentially 6 vehicles coming into CL and turning around by pitch 8, so noisy early morning. Deposit paid on booking and full balance to be paid 5 days before arrival. Excellent phone signal on EE. Linda was very friendly, didn't meet her husband. Make sure you also visit Eli's coffee shop in Gardenstown. Their afternoon tea is amazing as are the sandwiches and cakes and very reasonablly priced. Would say you need a car to get to places as a very steep hill to Gardenstown and all along the main road if you are walking
Just had a great stay at Gamrie bay for a week
Great welcome email on our journey up to confirm all details. Unfortunately the next day was horrendous weather but Linda phoned to make sure everything was ok which was a really lovely thing to do
The site is very peaceful lovely clean site nice views all the bins are labelled lovely dog walk even if you don’t have a dog like us 🤣 was great going to troup head also did the boat trip fantastic on the SeaCat with guide charters you have to ring to book
A must also is going to Turriff lovely little town terrific coffee shop Traffords thank you Linda and Michael we had a great time
We stayed 2 nights here and received a warm welcome from the friendly owners. Lovely peaceful location to visit the beautiful north east area. There is a slight slope on most of the pitches but all have amazing views. Very fair price too so long as you have own facilities. We will be back someday!
Enjoyed our one night stay here and would definately recommend for longer stays. Pitches well spaced and set up with everything you need , great on site dog walk.
Would highly recommend .
From booking to leaving we had an experience that easily exceed our already high expectations based on previous reviews. Well run site, nothing too
much trouble, excellent communications, perfect facilities and the dog walk round the woodland and wild flower meadow was the icing on the cake. We will return to this site and beautiful unspoilt area. Christine,Trevor and Finley (Lincoln)
1st time here and certainly hope to come back. This is what a CL site should be. Easily accessible good sized hardstandings pitches all service provided on pitch. Excellent facilities, friendly available if needed hosts. Plenty of bins and all beautiful grass areas kept immaculate. Extra surprise fresh eggs to buy and home baked treats. Also an extensive library of books and dvds to borrow if the weather isn’t great. Nice villages to explore and lovely scenery all around. Great booking system even see availability of each pitch. Well done Michael and Linda. Thank you.
Always a lovely warm welcome from Linda and Michael. The grass is kept really neat and short to suit all dogs, and the site is so well presented and clean. Really easy with all services (mains water / drainage / electric) at each pitch.
Super dog walk on site and lovely wild flower areas.
Incredibly peaceful and well spaced between pitches. The finishing touch is the "wee bothy" with Linda's lovely tray bakes, and a book / DVD library to borrow.
The new booking system is great - where you can see and book the pitch you want.
Thank you for providing such a lovely site.
What a lovely site! Spacious and well cared for with ample sized pitches. We stayed 3 nights over the Queen's Jubilee weekend. Linda was very friendly and helpful, giving us lots of information about the surrounding area., which is beautiful. On Friday evening it was a fish and chip supper was available, apparently a one off due to the jubilee, and a free afternoon tea on Saturday! We didn't partake in the latter as we were out and about enjoying the beautiful local area. We would definitely return.
