As usual, didn't want to leave !!!!

We have visited this site with our caravan many times over the last 10 years and recently returned from yet another very enjoyable stay. On this occasion we parked our 'van in the orchard and had masses of space, sun or shade, just as we wished! Martin, Karen and the resident dog Pip are very welcoming and friendly, and the site is kept in a very tidy condition whilst still retaining its 'farm' atmosphere with some lovely little calves! Although current traffic diversions do make regular trips into Plymouth a little more challenging, we certainly wouldn't be put off and would thoroughly recommend this site to anyone. Can't wait for our next visit. Many thanks!!

Good value alternative to other sites in Plymouth

We stayed on this site between Christmas & New Year 2016, using it as a base to visit remaining family members in the area. Mr Curtis had been unwell and difficult to contact to book the pitch - I hope he has now recovered ! Access to the site is a tight, sharp turn so care may be needed with larger outfits, but the welcome from the owner was warm and he was happy to stop and chat.Previous reviews had mentioned the "detour" to get into Plymouth - the road is now one-way, but it is only a short distance onto the A38 Devon Expressway into the city, so we had no issues with this at all. The site has all that is required from a CL and was reasonably level and well drained, given the time of year. The resident dog had a little falling out with one of ours, so caution was required ! Given the price of some of the "all-year" commercial sites closer to town, this served as a much more affordable base to visit the surrounding areas. Would use again if we come back to Plymouth in future.

Could be better.

We found the road closed further down from the site which made travelling more difficult as we had to follow long diversions to get to Plymouth. It would have been good if we were told about this when we booked. There is also quite a bit of noise from the nearby A38. Beware of the lovely dog called Pip as she is good at opening awning zips and stealing trainers and wellington boots. Pip also took one of my Crocs and we found it well chewed. Pip is a lovely dog and seemed to fall in love with our dog. The site is OK but we thought £12 a night was too much and the road closure spoiled some of our trip out plans. Other folk on the site had been warned about Pip taking shoes but we were not, however Pip became a good friend through our stay. I don't think we would return to this site in the future.

Lovely location

We had a friendly welcome by all at Furze Park farm. We found the farm really quite and peaceful with lovely views of the countryside. The site is within walking distance of a nice public house and plenty of takeaways.

Quiet and scenic location

Friendly reception. Large and well spaced out site with open aspect. Short walk (approx 1 mile) to main road at Elburton (Busses and Restaurant) but be carefull on un paved narrow country lane. Note excitable geese and inquisitive farm dog.
