A lovely site, good views and we were made very welcome by Karen and Martin even though they were busy with running the farm.
Unfortunately we had to cut short our stay as the car broke down and none of the garages could look at it for at least a fortnight.
The directions are very easy to follow. The garden centre, just down the road, is worth a visit, as the name suggests there are plants galore and there is an urn for you to make a free cup of tea or coffee.
We shall definitely got back to this great site.
We just stayed at Furze Park Farm for three nights and it was perfect for our needs. Checking in was easy with good information from the site owner, and the site is very well set out.
Being just off the A38, it is very easy to find, and very convenient. As it is near the new Sherford development, it has excellent buses into Plymouth if you want to go there. It is very tranquil, and we even saw some Perseid meteors while we were there.
Got back a week ago from Furze Park Farm and full of praise for an excellent CL on a working farm close to Plymouth. Very easy access from the A38 and seemed to be popular for people on 1 night stays who are getting the ferry out of Plymouth the following day.
Hard standings are on slightly sloping ground but we found no problem in levelling our caravan. The daily tariff includes electricity and the chemical waste disposal facilities are the best we have found on any CL we have visited.
Martin and Karen are excellent hosts who were seen busy running the farm most days and we were able to buy fresh eggs from them. Nell the 10 month old spaniel came over to see us most days for us to throw her a ball, stone, stick or anything else she could find and drop at our feet!
There's a very good nursery a few hundred yards down the lane who sell a massive range of good quality plants much cheaper than you would find anywhere else.
We will definitely stay here again when we next visit the area.
This is a lovely site, we have just returned from here and will not hesitate to return.
The site has hard standing pitches and is kept nice and tidy. Good base for days out or 4.5 miles into Plymouth.
Excellent garden centre down the road a matter of yards. The weather made it even better, plus we came home with a good stock of fresh eggs.
See you again soon. Keith & Patricia.
Very nice CL, friendly owners. 5 Spacious gravel pitches. View towards Sherford and beyond. Easy to find follow Plants Galore sign, it's basically on a dead end created by new Sherford roads. A little distant hum from A38 but not enough to disturb. 25mins walk to centre of Plympton. The rest of South Devon on your doorstep. £20 pn Inc ehu.
This is a lovely site, peace and tranquillity. This was our first time at a 5 van CL site and one which we will definitely return to. It's within easy reach of Plymouth and a great golf course, Staddon Heights!
Karen was very welcoming and helpful on our arrival and this site being a working farm we purchased fresh free range eggs.
The directions to the site were spot on and easy to follow. All in all we had a lovely time and will definitely look to return.
So good to be back in the 'van again at what is arguably our favourite CL! When we arrived the site looked immaculate, the grass freshly mown and flower tubs dotted around. Two new good hardstandings have been added since our visit last year, but as usual we chose our favourite spot up in the orchard. A new toilet emptying point had also been installed since last year. As usual we received a very warm welcome from Martin, Karen and Pip the dog and with pretty good, but not perfect, weather overall, we had a marvellously relaxing 15 nights, and as usual didn't want to leave! The route into Plymouth still involves an interesting trip through Sherford but obviously by next year the new and easy route should be well established. Our thanks to Martin and Karen for yet another wonderful stay, can't wait for next year!!
We've just spent 9 nights at this lovely CL which is perfectly located to explore all around the Plymouth area. The directions to site were easy to follow and we had the choice of hard standing or grass. The site is very pretty and well maintained and the daily visits from Pip the dog were our highlight. Leveling blocks are a must; I just wish we'd got more to put under our steps as it was quite a drop down! On the Friday we took part in a Murder Mystery at the Brook Inn in Plympton where we had a fantastic time with the very welcoming locals - I gather they're held regularly so do check out their next event. We would definitely recommend this site and will be sure to use this CL again when back in the area.
We stayed at the site for 8 days using it as a base in Plymouth whilst visiting family and friends. This is a lovely CL site in a rural location with easy access to the A38. The site is only about a mile from the dual carriageway and although others have reported some road noise, this was not an issue for us. During the late hours it was very quiet. The site itself is very pleasant and located within a small farm. Access to the farm is down a country lane which is wide enough for vehicles to pass. Now that the lane is closed off at one end, other than local traffic we came across very little other traffic. The site is well maintained and provides everything you would expect on a CL. There are 3 hard standing pitches and 2 are on the grass paddock. We had a grass pitch and despite lots of rain this week, the ground was well drained and dried out very quickly.Access to the site could be tight for larger units but with care should not be a problem. The owners keep the entrance and hedgerow well trimmed back making it easy to get in and out. The closure at the bottom of the main lane was not a problem as there is now a way through to Plymouth without the need for the previously mentioned long detour. Overall a lovely site which I am sure we will use again in the future.
Firstly and as is often.the case, the price is now £12 per night ( this is not a complaint)
The entrance is very narrow for larger units, go on from the marked entrance only a few yards and turn in there, it's much wider -hence not 5stars -.
It's very quiet and open for the most part ( satellite users should avoid backing unto the hedge)
Hard standings are welcome, fresh water tap and bins great. Elson point more than adequate.
