Welcoming site

Lovely site with plenty of open space. We spent three nights in early August. Owners very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Toilets and showers always clean. Extremely good location to explore the coast, with frequent buses near by. A bit of noise from the road that leads to the Muckleburgh Military Museum, but the place is so lovely that this is easy to ignore.

Little Gem

A little gem....wonderfully warm welcome. Spacious pitches and clean showers and toilets!  Very central for visiting the North Norfolk coast. Would thoroughly recommend this site,we will be back.

Most Excellent CL

We stayed here for 5 days in April this year. I concur with the previous comments about approaching from Sheringham. we also had to do a little reverse to make the turn. The owners are indeed lovely and very helpful. The ground is so well draining that we were instructed to allow the waste to run away towards the hedge, so no emptying of the Wastemaster. We failed to get a signal again on our Avtex whip aerial and found a small caravan accessory shop up the road in West Runton where we bought a Vision plus aerial which worked extremely well, all channels. The Norfolk Wildlife Trust Visitor Centre centre at Cley Marshes, not far from the site, is well worth a visit. There is a nice cafe and opportunity to view the marshes from the panoramic windows if the weather is slightly grotty as it was for us. We were lucky enough to see the Marsh Harrier. We didn't get the time to visit the Muckleburgh Museum which is just a short walk down the lane behind the site.

Super site in lovely location

Such a warm and friendly welcome. A very relaxing site to stay on. Although the camping site was 'full' over the bank holiday weekend, this only amounted to about 20 units and everyone was well spaced. It felt very spacious. The loo and shower facilities are basic in their construction but immaculate and very well appointed with new fittings and tiles. It felt like a really nice old fashioned site with a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely want to return.

Great place to stay

We have just got back after spending 8 days at Foxhills, we went last year and although the weather wasn't great this time the place is an absolute joy to visit. You can see how the owners are trying to improve things year by year and you could not wish for nicer people. We have already said that this place is somewhere that we will visit on a regular basis. If you are reading this and thinking shall I try it then just do it.

Lovely peaceful site

Arrived to a warm welcome and offer of any help needed. Do watch the sharp entry though, if travelling from Sheringham. Approach dead slow as you have to almost do a 180 just inside the Muckleburgh splay. Not a problem but good to know about in advance. Site slopes gently and backs onto the Muckleburgh Collection site with the sea visible through the pines. Say hello to Freddie Pheasant who roosted in the tree just behind our 'van. Steve and Annemarie are great hosts and clearly always ready to help if you get in a pickle. Loo emptying point and water taps not too far away. Hook-ups very handy, too. Didn't use showers, but had a look. They're really for the campsite, but can be used. Not flashy, but very clean and with some nice little touches, like somewhere for your mucky footwear. Whole site is lovingly maintained and well worth a visit. We will be back before long, without a doubt.

Lovely spot

We turned off the road as directed into the entrance to the Muckleburgh Museum only to realise that the site entrance was actually on the right hand corner and needed to reverse back out a little in order to pull into the site We were given a warm welcome and directed to our pitch, partly sloping but with a sea view, and it was no problem to level up our caravan. Mr Wharton and his wife were most helpful, and we will certainly come back

Lovely site, good facilities and location

We enjoyed a weeks holiday here, the site owner was most helpful but never obtrusive.  Would definitely return when this way again.

Great place for a holiday

The owners could not have been more helpful and accomodating, when we stayed there for a week in August it was apparant that they are updating things, the shower block/toilets/showers is quite small and a little old but so clean. Great location for visiting the many interesting places round about, this was our first visit to Norfolk and hopefully not the last. Eating crab, drinking wine and watching the sun go down is just the best thing.

Great site

Stayed here in May 2013. Needed to amend booking at last minute and owner was very flexible and helpful. Site very well kept and short walk from the village pub and shop. Coast hopper bus stops outside. Will definitely visit again .
