Why stay here ...

Foxhills is situated on the outskirts of the pretty village of Weybourne in North Norfolk's area of outstanding natural beauty. Our large entrance is shared with the  popular Muckleburgh Military Museum (follow the brown tourist signs).

The Coast Hopper bus (which also takes dogs) has a request stop outside our entrance, making this the perfect site for motorhome owners to easily travel up and down the Norfolk coast.

For walkers and dog owners there is a footpath opposite our entrance leading to Telegraph Hill with vast open access land to wander over. Also Muckleburgh Hill, 150 metres along the coast road, has more open access land with stunningly beautiful views up and down the coast. A path from here leads down to the pebble beach with very deep water which is popular for sea fishing all year round. There is also a handy car park by the beach in the village. Sheringham has the nearest sandy beach.

There is freshly made coffee available in The Village Store. The Ship Inn is well patronised with a good local menu. The nearby Pheasant Hotel serves bar meals and has a fine cuisine restaurant for a special night out.

The famous Poppy Line steam railway operates from Weybourne railway station which is 1.8km away and connects to Sheringham and Holt and both of these towns have plenty of shopping facilities. Popular days out from Foxhills include the National Trust properties of Sheringham Hall,  Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Hall and seal trips to Blakeney Point.

Cliff top Sheringham Golf Club links course is open for visiting golfers.

Bird watching areas at RSPB Cley and Titchwell Marsh.

A Very Peaceful and Quiet CL

Foxhills
Lots of great walking here in the wooded hills adjoining the site and coastal walking too. Great place for dogs and lots of wildlife. The pitches for the CL are at the top of the site and all have their own drinking water tap and electrical hook up. Plenty of space between pitches. Site is well maintained and bins for trash and recycling. We walked both the local wooded hills and to the coast and Sheringham and back. Good quiet local roads for cycling. We ate at the Ship in the village and it was very good although not cheap. We enjoyed two good takeaways from the two restaurants in Sheringham serving Asian/Nepalise food - Lebone and The Bank - and they were excellent.

Great base for North Norfolk

Foxhills
Our second visit to this site in great location for exploring coast and countryside by bike and on foot. Useful local information provided by owner on arrival, including recommending the Forties event at Weybourne station. Spacious pitches with ehu and water nearby. Kelling tea room is well worth a visit, as is the The Ship Inn in Weybourne although booking is strongly advised if you want a meal. Sheringham is nearby and easy to get to with plenty of shops, pubs and other places to eat.

Absolute gem of a site!

Foxhills

We have just returned after spending 3 nights at Foxhills and found it a truly amazing site! The site itself is very well laid out with the CL part tucked towards the top of the field surrounded by a hedge, we were a short notice booking so the CL was full but we didn’t mind and were booked on ‘blue tit’ pitch which was lovely. There are so many lovely little touches to the site from the quirky little garden ornaments near the reception to the beautiful plants and the grapevine with an abundance of grapes hanging from it, we were told it was fine to help ourselves to these. This all leads to the toilets and washing up area which is decorated in a sort of shabby chic/country style which suited the feel of the site perfectly. Owners were lovely and everything is very well organised, on arrival we were given paperwork which clearly told us which pitch we were on and included a map outlining local info. All in all a lovely site and we would definitely return here. Well worth a visit is the Muckleburgh Military collection’ which is right next door to the site…£12 entry fee and it is well worth more than that…so much to see and it exceeded our expectations!

Perfect Stay

Foxhills
Our 3rd visit to Foxhills and another lovely stay. As always a lovely welcome from Annmarie. Plenty of walks from the site. Over the heath to the beach or down into Weybourne village. Can recommend the Old reading rooms tea room nearby. Steam railway nearby for trips to Sheringham or Holt. Bus stop 5 mins walk. We visited Cley where there is a good pub, windmill and nice walks along the coast path. There is a nature reserve in Cley for all you bird watchers. There is a pub and a cafe in Weybourne but we didn’t go there as we were only here for a few days. We will be back again next year.

Fabulous peaceful site

Foxhills
Back from a lovely 7 night stay at Foxhills , a lovely warm welcome from the owners when we got there , Annmarie showed us to our pitch and gave us some information regarding nearby walks and a bus timetable , the site is very neat and tidy and well kept , there is plenty of room between the pitches , we were on Dove , it was sunny from morning until sunset which was great , you can just see the sea from that pitch through the trees , the site is so peaceful and tranquil , we have a dog and it’s a 2 min drive to the beach or there is a public footpath to the beach and also some woods across the road to walk them , this site was perfect for us and a perfect location for visiting lots of places on the Norfolk coast , we will definitely be returning again soon .
